Okay this is just a quickie to let you know I'll be in and out for awhile as we are in the middle of a flood again... they say it's not as bad as the 2011 flood. (We have the same amount of water) but this time it didn't come down in a wall of water - this time, it's rising slowly. Me and mine are all safe, and my front veranda and carport looks like a wildlife sanctuary. Talk to you when I can.

I have been lucky again because once again my house survived while so many other people's houses went under and again our shed and Laidley survived (most of the rest of the town went under) still to hear about our offices in Brisbane but I'm hopeful they survived as well. We were flooded in for three days.
DeleteWish you could send some of that rain my way. Our grass is so dry it crunches when you step on it, I fear more prairie fires are in our future. Hope you stay dry.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is the part of Australia which isn't underwater is still inundated and battling fires. they told us last time the flood was a once in 100 year event (2 years later I beg to differ).
