I'm So Pissed Off...

I have lost the first two chapters (4K) of Hollow's Trouble... Cut & Paste is not my friend. I swear something I've done a million times and the one time I've needed it to work it fails me big time. What pisses me off the most was it was so fricken good and so different from what I usually write.

I'm just hoping that when I attempt to re write it... that it doesn't change drastically and ruin what I had going, or turns out utter crap.

I suppose that I better quit complaining and get to it or it will never get done. Thank you to everyone who has tried to help me retrieve the lost wordage... Next time--Let's pray there isn't a next time.

  1. Are you working in word? Isn't there a way to look at previously saved versions? I was able to look at a latest version when I thought I lost a doc.

    1. I tried everything... apparently Clip board only saves the last thing and seeing as I did other stuff after it's just gone... so I re wrote it and it's now completely different.

    2. That sucks. Good to know the M/M Group allows extensions.

I've gotten paranoid and back mine up on Gdocs, Dropbox and occasionally a flashdrive. You're the third person I know who's lost a fic lately.

      Good Luck!

    3. I may just need that extension as I've been battling flu/bronchial asthma lately.

  2. There is widgets and software that allows you to keep history of multiple items on clipboard. i goggles Clipboard history and found the following. There is a whole lot more so try googling your self. I haven't read of of this right now but I'm going back to check it out as I always lose things on clipboard.

    1. But only if you already have the software installed when you clip and paste - I asked Microsft... they gave me a few sites to look at and all said the same... but it's okay, I've rewritten them - even though they are completely different.
