Sentinels of Varnuse: When The Walls Come Tumbling Down #4.

#4.
As the music changed Quinlan stood in front of the cleric and listened to the instructions he was receiving for what was about to happen. The change in tempo was the cue to let everyone present know Brayden was about to enter the room and complete the final stage of their marriage ceremony. Quin’s eyes blurred with the onset of tears as his sons preceded Brayden—who was being escorted by his uncle—down the aisle to stop beside him.

They stood holding hands while facing each other as Cleric Saskia performed the ritual blessing bonding them together forever. This day was one Quin had been dreaming of for over half his life. His fingers trembled as he reached across and gently brushed a tear from Brayden’s cheek. His soon to be husband was absolutely breathtaking as he stood there in the ceremonial robes in varying shades of blue. The fine layer of khole around Bray’s vibrant blue eyes made them stand out. The way Bray’s hair had been pulled back off of his heart shaped face had Quin wanting to reach out and loosen the clasp so the strand of midnight black fell to frame the perfection before him. The slight quiver to the full mouth had Quin’s own heart racing.

Quinlan mostly didn’t remember anything being said during the ceremony, not even the parts where he and Brayden said their vows. His awareness was totally caught up in bray’s eyes and what they held within them. It wasn’t until Brayden leaned in and kissed him that he even realised the ceremony had ended. It was done—he’d finally married the man of his heart.

“You are forever mine, my love.” Quin whispered against Brayden’s ear as he embraced him, and hugged him close.

“I have always been yours.” Brayden answered solemnly.

Now was the more confronting part. Quin hoped Bray wasn’t too shy for what needed to happen next. “Are you ready to consummate our vows; to bind us together for all eternity?”

Brayden nodded slowly; something akin to terror in his eyes. Quin placed his hand against Bray’s chest and felt his husband’s heart racing. Slowly so not to scare Bray completely Quinlan took his hand and led him towards the consummation bed. In that moment he was grateful when Alexis led the children from the room; this was something he didn’t want the boys to see. Not that he thought that this was wrong; he just thought Killian and Larkin were a bit too young to see this particular part of their father’s relationship.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Quin whispered between kisses as he slowly helped Brayden remove his clothing. His fingertips tingled as they ran across Brayden’s bared shoulders and down onto his chest.

“Do they have to be in the room with us when we do this? Couldn’t we at least put up some kind of privacy screen?” Brayden whispered his eyes were lowered to the ground.  Quinlan had remembered that as children this was something Bray would do when they were in trouble—if he couldn’t see the people in the room with them, then they weren’t really here.

Quinlan chuckled, “Oh Bray, my love. I’m sorry, but yes; they need to be here. They need to witness the actual act so no one can claim we didn’t fully complete the consummation. I swear to you; if it weren’t necessary, I would boot their arses out as I ravaged your body to my heart’s content.”

Brayden closed his eyes and shuddered. “Okay, Quinlan, I can do this.”

As Quinlan untied the knots on Brayden’s trousers; loosening them until they easily slid down his legs his lover’s body trembled with what he hoped was need. Brayden Stepped out of his trousers and smiled shyly as Quinlan laid him out upon the bed. He couldn’t help but notice Brayden’s blush deepen as the witnesses moved in to get a better view of what was going to take place.

“Don’t think about them; you focus on me, and we’ll get through this together.” Quin leaned down and lightly kissed Brayden on the forehead. “The only people who matter here are you and me.”
“Okay,” Brayden answered. “Just you and me.”

Quinlan quickly stood up and took the opportunity to shed his own clothes. Crawling back onto the bed he moved until he was lying on top of Brayden, and covering him completely. “You know I have to be the one to take you… is that going to be okay with you?”

Brayden only nodded and his blush deepened further still. Quin moaned as Bray brought his arms up until they wrapped around his neck. A small tug had Quin closing the distance between them and delving into a deep kiss. Brayden’s gaze heated up as Quin’s tongue invaded his mouth.in happiness Quin realised Brayden gave himself over to the sensation and was fully blocking everyone else out.

“Love you,” Quinlan murmured as they broke apart. He reached over and grabbed the lubricant, because there was no way he was willing to hurt Brayden in any way, shape, or form. Knowing Brayden had never been with anyone else was just a bonus, and had Quinlan as hard as hell as he began the series of touches to loosen his lover’s body and allow him entry.

Brayden’s eyes widened as Quin’s fingers trace over his hole, and Quin loved how his husband’s back arched with the slightest bit of pressure.

“Quinlan!”

The tears glistening in Brayden’s eyes told Quin his lover was feeling the burn. Quin wanted to reassure him that it wouldn’t last long. Instead he leant down and claimed Brayden’s mouth in a searing kiss.

“Look at me... focus on me, Bray... nobody else.” Quin demanded when he managed to break the kiss.

Brayden moaned as Quin replaced his fingers with his manhood. Quinlan worried his lover still wasn’t ready. The whimper that fell from Bray’s lips all but undid Quin as he penetrated Bray’s body. The tight heat which welcomed him was overwhelming and Quin forced himself to focus so he didn’t come too quickly. He wanted to make this as perfect for Bray as possible.

The murmuring in the background he could have definitely done without.

“Love you baby,” Quin repeated over and over. With every thrust he wanted to show Bray exactly how much he was truly loved. And just how much Quinlan needed the man in his life.

Brayden groaned as Quin once more invaded his mouth. The way Bray began pushing up against him, meeting every thrust showed Quin something had changed. The next words out of Bray’s mouth only confirmed his thoughts.

“More Quin, I need...” Bray trailed off on a deep moan and Quinlan increased his pace.
Brayden panting in pleasure had Quin feeling the orgasm tearing through his own body, and burning him up from the inside. Brayden screamed out Quinlan’s name, and Quin felt the heated splash of cum coat his body. It was all Quin needed to fall over the edge into his own pleasure as he buried himself as deep as he could in his lover’s body. Each pulse of his seed filling Brayden was just another binding link between them—he came with Brayden’s name on his lips.

Collapsing on top of Brayden he struggled to get his breathing under control. A smile played across his lips. Brayden was his... body and soul. Nothing would ever be able to tear them apart.

“It is done. The marriage has been consummated. From this day forward they will be known as Quinlan and Brayden Macallister. Also from this day forward, and by the laws of Panthea they are now our king and his consort.”

Quinlan chuckled as Brayden squirmed beneath him in obvious embarrassment at having forgotten they weren’t alone.

A first for me...

BAS done... hopefully, & other goss!

I have sent off all my receipts and stuff to my wonderful bookkeeper Christine Dixon. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything important.

I got a bill from my accountant the other day telling me this was the final notice asking for payment - problem was it was the first notice I ever got... maybe they sent my bill to someone else. I can't figure them out.

It took me nearly all day getting everything up to sate so I didn't get to write today I will have to play catch up tomorrow with Toowoomba Boys: Dancing with Demons. Right now I'll just tinker on some other stuff. Though I did send off the Cover Art request form to the lovely Christie N for Sons of Evenmore: Blood to Blood, and heard back that I should have some edits by the weekend.

And on top of all of that I have the basis of a new story idea running around inside my head clouding it for everything else... I now for a fact I won't be thinking rationally writing wise until I have written at least a couple of notes down... As yet I have no clue what the story is about but I can see the two characters as plain as day in my mind.

We're in the midst of another heatwave here and it's killing me... even with the aircon I just can't seem to focus on anything. Though, at least I have aircon... Em & my hubs are out working construction... hope they drink lots of water. All the cats (I have 3 - Droogie, Willow, & Toby) have decided that my office is the best place to cool down...

On that note I will away and catch you all on the flipside.

Critique thoughts & other things.

Lately I've been thinking that I might need a critique partner... I have no clue about how to find one, and to be honest I'm a little wary of having one... does that make sense?

I'm not one for reading reviews of my own work - always believing that as long as one person likes the story then I have done my job as an author... stupidly I decided to have a quick look-see, and what I saw was disheartening. I have since come to the conclusion I write sickly sweet stories - Hence the reason I'm thinking of a crit partner.
Then there is this whole other part of me that is stubborn and wants to do everything by myself... So you can see my dilemma.

Onto other thoughts: I'm slowly working my way through Toowoomba Boys: Dancing with Demons. It's taking longer than I thought because I'm not sure where the story is headed... At stages this past week I've had a total mind blank when even thinking on this situation.

I've been giving some serious thoughts to my future writing plans (not in the whole giving it up sort of way) more along the lines of what stories I really want to get out & what ones I can put on the back burner for awhile. All I know for sure is that after I finish my current WIP Lancaster's Way: A Different Way Of Seeing will be next.

I think I need a better schedule between writing and my life... and stop getting distracted by social media... I really need to shut that stuff down while I write (there done) now let's see how that works... Wish me luck.

William Cooper ~ Cabin Boys

Release Date: 15 January 2014
Available: Stiff Rain Press

Blurb:
Aaron has been in love with his brother for years. Unfortunately for Aaron, those feelings haven't been mutual. Elliot loves his brother, sure, but he's not in love with Aaron. After a drunken night up at their parents' cabin in the woods, could things finally be going Aaron's way?

Excerpt:
Elliot sent shivers through my body as he ran his tongue along my shaft. Arching my back, hips driving up to give him better access, I wished he’d stop teasing me. God, just suck it already. He opted for mercy and worked his magic by taking my cock into his hot mouth. Heart slamming against my ribs, I thought maybe his mouth might be what heaven feels like—sexual redemption to be found sliding my cock between his full, red lips.

With each rise and fall of Elliot’s head, I got closer to coming. The weight of the impending orgasm, the pressure in my balls drove me insane. I wanted him to take my cum, wanted him to swallow every last drop. Then I wanted to push him down onto the bed and suck his cock dry. I could almost hear his moans as he fisted my hair.

Just as I was about to come, I heard my bedroom door open and it jarred me out of my fantasy. I opened my eyes and yanked my blanket over my lower half as Elliot sauntered in. Even though it was pretty obvious what I’d been doing, I still didn’t need him to see for himself. The heat rising in my cheeks assured me they were bright red as I faced him down. It didn’t help that he was the object of my fantasy.

Elliot stood in the doorway, a slight grin on his face. He wore only a pair of basketball shorts. It was obvious he’d been working out in the basement again. Droplets of sweat slid down his body, moving along the curves of his chest and abs. I loved that the only hair he had on his chest was the little trail leading from his belly button to beneath his shorts. Elliot’s grin solidified my assumption that he knew I was jerking off.

Even though I was twenty-one, I felt like a teenager again. I couldn’t wait until I was out of the house and had my own place. I had hoped for some privacy by now, but Elliot had decided to live with our parents until he finished his MBA. He claimed it was far less expensive than on-campus housing or an apartment.

My gaze roamed over his body, from the contours of his shoulder, down his pecs and abs, to the small trail of hair that lead to the prize inside his shorts. Stop that! I chastised myself. I couldn’t let Elliot notice me ogling him, much less figure out he’d just interrupted a fantasy involving him. He was my brother, after all, and I can’t imagine he’d be pleased with it.

“You got any plans for the weekend?” he asked.

I rolled my eyes. The fucker could’ve at least said hello or apologized for not knocking when he came in. He reinforced my belief that I’d gotten all the manners from our genetic pool, and they’d drifted right past him. Elliot never was one to beat around the bush. “Nope, why?”

He leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed in front of his chest, still grinning from his embarrassing masturbatory discovery. “I was thinking we could go up to the cabin for the weekend. We haven’t been up there since last summer, and I wanna grab some beers and have some fun before school starts up again.”

“Sounds good. I could use a few days away from the house. We leave in the morning?” Elliot was right. We hadn’t gone up there since about this time last year. We were well overdue for a break away from the rest of the world.

“Yeah, if that works for you. We can stop at the liquor store down the street and stock up like we always do. How’s that sound?”

I nodded. “Yeah, that works for me. What time we leaving?”

“Be ready to go around six,” Elliot said, then winked. “Have fun taking care of that.” He turned and left, closing the door behind him.

Six? Seriously? As far as I was concerned, there were no hours between two am and eight am. No one in their right mind wants to get up that early. But then again, no one ever said Elliot was in his right mind.

Truth be told, I looked forward to spending a few days up at the cabin. Spending some time together, just the two of us, would be a good way to bond like we’d done as kids. With school and everything, we’d drifted apart a bit, and I missed the easy rapport we’d had. But for now, I wanted to finish what I’d been doing before he interrupted. The sound of Elliot’s voice, and the memory of his sweaty torso, was more than enough to bring my cock back to full attention, despite my earlier embarrassment.

If you've been paying attention to publishing news lately, you'll have noticed that snafus at Amazon and Kobo regarding certain types of erotica and erotic romance. Both companies have decided to no longer allow certain types of books to be sold through their ebook stores, especially from self-published authors. One of these genres is incest and, to a lesser extent, pseudo-incest.

For a while, very few publishers would accept books with these themes. Then a few cropped up and they were very shady or offered poor editing/cover art services. That left authors with one avenue - self-publishing. And these books flourished. Readers were buying them by the cart load. Then the Pornocolypse hit. This left readers scrambling to figure out how to get their much desired books. But, more than that, it left authors scrambling to find a home for their new books.

Like with most censorship, it's impossible to keep something quiet. Those authors who preferred to continue self-publishing moved their catalogs to other sites, like Barnes and Noble and Smashwords who have more relaxed content policies.

For those of us who prefer an actual publisher a few new names came to light. I was lucky when I found Stiff Rain Press. They've been an absolute wonder to work with. By publishing through them, I don't have to worry about have to pay for editing or cover art. More than that, I don't have to try and deal with the censorship that is running rampant through the distributors. Stiff Rain deals with all of that for me. Though they can't make Amazon change their minds, they upload the books to as many sites as possible.

I'll keep hoping Amazon will change their mind, especially with how much money they stand to make off taboo books. But, until then, I'll continue writing taboo and publishing it without Amazon.

The Houses OF Kincaid & Marsden..

Sorry I don't Know how to make the writing bigger... I've sent them to Christie N, and I'm hoping they'll make it into the front of  The Lines Of Marsden: Living In Shadows.

I have been busy doing not only these family trees, but doing the line edits on this book as well. Glad I even managed to make Kimberly B smile... proves I did listen to her while doing the first book.
