Day 104: Still Sick... But

Today I decided to just get up and be up with the kids. Luckily for me they just wanted to play Where's Wally for most of the day or watch TV in my room with me. Now if I could just teach Hurricane and Monsoon the meaning of inside voice. Graceful is taking the day to hide in her bedroom to get away from her sisters.

I might even manage to get in a load of washing or two before the littles run out of underwear. I don't know how they go through so many in one day. It's like they change them every damn time they go to the loo.

I'm over being sick, now Mum and I are down to just having a cough and I think that is the worst part of it all because now everything hurts (especially, chest and gut).

Until tomorrow, remember: The road to hell was paved with good intentions.

Day 103: Freaking Sick.

Woke up as sick as a dog this morning (Seriously, I don't get that saying ~ but yet, we seem to use it all the time). It's not just me. Our whole house is sick. Adults more-so than the kids. they are healthy enough to be as annoying as hell.

Today I think I will just lay in bed and watch TV because I have a bad headache that doesn't let me focus on anything for too long. I'd sleep, but I don't think the three littles are going to let that happen.

Though Hurricane and Monsoon deciding to be helpful are in my room writing me out the shopping list for next week. It would be better if they could actually spell - I think I will be redoing the list myself, and add more than just candy, nuggets, potatoes and salami (which are their favourite foods). I think we'll need a little more than that to survive.

Reminded the neighbours across the road to come and collect the clothes we had put aside for their little girl... they keep what they want and then donate the rest to the thrift shop.

Until tomorrow, remember: Sleep is overrated.

Day 101: Washing Day Again

Weirdly, washing is one of my favourite chores to do. everything goes in dirty and comes out smelling and looking all clean. The only thing I don't like about washing is finding things in the dirty clothes that I know haven't been worn, because the damn things are still folded up. The kids are bad for that one, and so is their mother.

Besides washing, I'm overseeing Hurricane and Monsoon while that reclean their room. I've told them if they don't do it than I'm going in there with a garbage bag and the room will end up super clean.

This school holidays their whole end of the house is getting cleaned out. I'm tired of the mess. I'm tired of asking for things to get done and it doesn't so now I'm going to get bossy. Not that it's a huge mess. The kids just don't put the toys away from one game to the next. And the garbage bag threat is mainly for the broken toys that I have to get rid of anyway.

Until tomorrow, remember: Sleep is overrated ~ your cats need for attention is more important.

Day 100: Losing My Mind

Okay, we all know just how long I searched for the story notes on Hey-Hey/Riley & Veah/Arlo. Swear to God, it almost did my head in. It definitely did my back in. I opened up my computer last night and, in a file, I've searched numerous times; there they were sitting there as happy as a pig in mud. right alongside a couple of more that I was missing. All the while Vlad sat back laughing his Russian arse off, saying he knew where they were all along. Then why the hell didn't he tell me? Because he's an arsehole that's why.

So now I have moved them into my Hayden Falls folder, so I won't lose them again. the others have been placed among the Misty River crews. I'm going to get a notebook and write down which stories are in which folders so when I go looking, I will be able to find them easily.

Until tomorrow, remember: Don't trust the voice in your (my) head because he's a jerk, and he lies.

Day 99: Yard Work

Getting the yard down before we put the new trampoline together. At least this one has a ladder for the kids to be able to get in and out.

I really can't wait until my nephew gets back so he can help with the massive undertaking of doing the paddock again. It's hard work.

My niece is getting me the number of someone who fixes ride on mowers. So that will be one of my next things to get done. I'm hoping they don't tell me it's not worth fixing.

Until tomorrow, remember: Stop and walk away ~ 11 days to go

Day 98: Shopping Day With Kids

I forgot how draining it can be to go grocery shopping with three kids in tow. If they asked for candy once. they must have asked 100 times or more. Drove me bonkers. but at least we got it done. Coming home and putting it all away was just as hectic. I bribed them just to get them out of my way. Their helping really isn't that helpful. At least I got the toilet paper put away before Hurricane and Monsoon could stand on it and squash it all.

Until tomorrow, remember: There's 12 days to go before school starts back
