It's that time of the year again...
Yes, it is time for the Hoppy Easter Blog Hop If you follow this link to the event page you will find many more awesome people who are participating in this awesome HOP.
Again I will be giving two prizes for $25 Gift Certificates to buy books - I will even get them to a venue of your choice, (if I can work out how to do it- LOL.) So to be eligible to enter either or both comps to win you need to leave a comment with contact information and/or join my list of followers (though you will still need to comment and leave contact information.) I decide on a winner with the age old method of pulling the lucky two peoples names out of a hat, or Tupperware bowl whatever is handiest.
So here is my Easter Ramble - Easter means something different to everyone. For some it is the religious aspects they focus on. For others it is all the sugary and chocolate goodness of the eggs etc. For other's it is an OMG!!! How much is this gonna cost me? Especially if they have more than one person to buy for. For me it is to decide what do I buy my daughter for doesn't eat Easter Eggs? This year she is hinting at new jeans... and I know once we buy said jeans she will need a shirt or something else to go with it... It is a never ending cycle of stuff that is running through my brain during these holidays.
On that note I will away and good luck everyone - PS - Don't forget to check out the other awesome Hoppers... I will post my winners on Tuesday the 10th of April (Australian Time) which will probably be Monday the 9th everywhere else in the world - LOL
Happy Hopping Everyone.
Hi looks like I'm the first one here. ;) I love reading your stories! I check my email everyday looking for post from your site. Have a Good Easter. This year they get candy a little stuffed animal and some money. I give up trying to guess and your right one thing always leads into more. Bye.
ReplyDeleteChris ceagles48218@yahoo.com
LOL - I know the feeling well - Em just came home and told me I am buying her blue skinny's (Jeans).
DeleteLe sigh... Stores are closed today and I ate my chocolate egg yesterday... But they're open tomorrow! I got my kids a hollow paper egg and stuffed it with toys. They loved that. They got their chocolate eggs from mom and dad, and another this weekend from their other grandparents. I figured they didn't need one from me too.
ReplyDeleteeripike at gmail dot com
My mum bought my hubs some chocolate eggs... I didn't get him anything - LOL. I will buy him some beer today.
DeleteWell my kids will get a chocolate bunny and some jelly beans. They generally get a book in their baskets too. (No, I have never been subtle about wanting them to read.) I do really low key for Easter.
ReplyDeletebubbliemom at gmail dot com
Em has nearly always gotten clothes and books - she hates chocolate and will only eat it under duress.
DeleteLol! Not being particularly religious, Easter is normally all about the chocolate eggs for me, oh and the Turkey dinner!(although this year we're breaking tradition and having duck) :P Sadly, this year I'm on a diet so the eggs are only a fantasy :( Good luck with your hop! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - We Are having Good Friday for Easter this year so we are having a huge seafood dinner as the hubs will finally be home - I think.
DeleteIt's an easy holiday for me - I just have to show up at my brother's house, watch my nieces hunt for Easter eggs, then eat dinner!
ReplyDeleteLucky - we have no traditions as my daughter is 22 so I figure they can fend for themselves.
DeleteAlready subscribe to your blog...I would buy her one thing and tell her to make sure. We don't buy gifts for Easter in my family. We're just happy that we get to spend time together.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a Happy Easter...
I don't feel guilty for buying her stuff because I make her do a lot of running around for me just so I don't have to do it - right now she is vacuuming so I don't have to do it.
DeleteLove your books thank you for the contest happy easter wish you a safe one jessica canoto jcanoto@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWe never received gifts for Easter, only Easter baskets filled with candy and a traditional Chocolate Easter Bunny. But, we did all receive new spring Easter outfits. Unfortunately, living in Michigan, it was usually too cold to wear our new spring coats.

Well my hubs finally came home so he is what I got for Easter... so for me this year it is all about family.
DeleteMy family is pretty religious and I still follow some traditions, but for me it's mainly about cleaning the house from bottom to top, cooking many delicious things and get-together of the whole family. We don't get presents for Easter and this certificate would be first and only one.
ReplyDeleteI'm the follower.

Man, where were you when I was cleaning my office it has taken me over a week. - It is almost finished.
DeleteHappy Hoppy Day!
ReplyDeleteFor me it's about family...this year, in the extended family, we have 1year old that will be totally confused about hunting for eggs but will be ecstatic about the CHOCOLATE!
As a child I was always the happiest when I received books at Easter...oh, and the year my sister & I got real, live bunnies! :)

I thought normally kids would ask for gifts for Christmas...and instead happily chasing for chocolate eggs on Easter...I guess this must have been modern tradition. I guess girls these days would love to fill their Wardrobe to the brim unlike my time where only necessary are necessities.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you and your family have a great time...like your Angel on the Top ^_* sprinkling choco dust around the beloved ones.
Happy Easter Day

Traditions for my family is dying and decorating several dozen eggs. then after church, the easter egg hunt for the kids. And of course hoping like heck they all get found, so we don't have a very rotten surprise several weeks later.lol! Then inside for the Easter dinner of Ham with all the trimmings. Presents, aside from the cellophane grass filled basket with a bit of Easter candy was never part of our celebration, at most we got a new Easter hat or sometimes a dress for Church. I miss being close enough in miles to share that with my family every year. Happy Easter Everyone! Tawny. info@abra-cadabraalpacas.com
ReplyDeleteEven though my boys are grown, I still love to put together Easter baskets filled with their favorite candy, gift certificates and bags of the coffee they love.
