NaNoWriMo

Okay, I've been mulling through a few thoughts for NaNo this year. So I thought I'd share my rambling mind with you.

Like should it be one novel or two novella's - I still have no clue? Though, I think I'm going to try my hand at Sci- Fi - here's hoping I don't suck at it.

My other thought is should I use NaNo to finish a project or should I start something fresh?

What kind of characters should I have - soft, hard, jerks, twinks? (That came out sounding so wrong).

Should I write Young Adult? Or, should I stick with what I know best?

  1. You're preplanning NaNo NJ? You can do that? Damn. It does sound interesting, though - good luck!

    1. I don't plan out the story as I'm not a planner I have no clue what I want to do - Last year I worked on Two Novella's at the end I had to join them in one document for the 50K count, but that is acceptable. I know some people who plot theirs out out beforehand. I'm more the sit down on the day and let it all fall out of my head. As long as I get the 50K done... So I guess I'm saying if you're a plotter then it's okay to plot it out as long as you don't write it until November... but don't take my word on that...

I did write to NaNo people who run it and asked last year and they said it was okay and even in the NaNo news letters they have little bits about getting ready... I think it's okay as long as the actual writing takes place in November.

  2. Sci-fi hmmm, how about Star Twinks? A spaceship full of twinks searching the universe for hunks?

    1. LOL - That sounds like a good idea... and I will keep it in mind for when November rolls around. I guess I'll know what I'm going to do once it gets here.
