DONE!!!

DONE!!!
Windblown Kisses: My Knight it Tarnished Armour,
is finally off at the beta readers.
It came in at 97,168 words.

Here's Something To Give You All A Good Laugh...

Woke up this morning to the sound of rain gently falling on the roof - I smiled because we live on tank water so any rain is welcome, especially, if it refills my tank - even partially.

Everything is going great and then I remember I have to take Mum out to do some errands so I decide to answer all my emails first and grumble the whole time about having to go out in the rain. I may love the rain but that doesn't mean I want to be out in it (unless of course I am jumping in the puddles - but at my age that might seem a bit weird to other people).

So there I am, in my office at my computer minding my own business when I here the screen door open and know my mum is letting one of the cats in. Just so happens it is my cat "Droogie". This would be no problem though because he likes to sit beside me or sit on the floor at my feet (he's not really a cuddler). Anyway I hear him meowing as he comes into my office and before I can blink he jumps straight into my lap wringing wet through. Mind you, I yell because A: It's winter here and pretty cold, B: He is so wet I now look like I peed myself, & C: He continues to sit there until I dry the bugger off... My mum walks in with an old towel and goes "Oops." - I'm like "Oops, WTF, seriously?" Apparently she got side tracked by something on the TV. As soon as he was dry he jumped off my lap and curled up by the heater.

So now here I am about to drive Mum to town in the rain... Could my day get any worse?

On a brighter note my new computer tower should turn up today... I can't wait.

Updates Galore...

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - I have 26 pages left of head hopping to go through on Windblown Kisses: My Knight it Tarnished Armour and then I will send it off to Yoda to do his stuff and then to Cinders who I'm hoping will be able to pick up any holes or unanswered questions for me, and then I'll sub it - somewhere.

Ray and Viv's love story has been a work in progress for many years and has gone through many renditions of whet their life is like... this story is loosely based on events that may or may not have happened somewhere in the history of my family... though the whole being rich thing is make believe because believe me my family is not rich - LOL.

I have my good mate Richy telling me to hurry the hell up and get The Lines of Marsden: Living in Shadows finished - so I have said it is one of the next books I will be working on.

Whereas Emily wants me to finish The Diamond Rose: Undercover Hearts... Hey! Is it my fault she liked the series title and got it tattooed across her sternum? I think not - but I have promised her I'll finish it up as well.

My brother Ted Saddo tells me I have a couple of more sessions on my arm before it is complete. I don't mind the waiting... though I am rearranging my future sessions Rodney Rocket is gonna let me know the sitch.

Speaking of Rodney... he is being a darling, and is helping me create a character... I have him drawing up some character sketches for me. I am hoping that by the end of the year we will have the whole basis of the storyline down pat...

This weekend I should be doing a shit-load more building in the renovations... we should get the room lined and the floor laid down at least and then it is only the shelving put in and the painting  - Oh, and I need to get Dave the electrician to drop by and change the light fixtures.

I Am Away Tomorrow...

Tomorrow I will be spending another awesome filled morning sitting in Ted Saddo's tattoo chair at:  Sink The Ink Tattooz. I'm getting the next instalment on my horror/cartoon sleeve. we are getting closer to the end. I'm hoping to get it all finished before I hit Sydney in October for the OzmmMeet.

I bought my new financial year diary today... the only one in the style I wanted was pink. Not a colour I would normally choose for myself, but beggars can't be choosers as they say. Well, at least I won't lose the damn thing. Last years I lost quite a bit, it had a tendency to blend into the desk top as they were both mahogany.

My new computer tower arrives on Friday at some stage. The nice guy who is putting it all together (Bob) is just adding all the programs I want. I can't wait until the damn thing is installed and then Em will be happy she doesn't have to share the laptop any more. Even though it's my laptop.

Yes! I'm Back...

<= This guy came from somewhere. Actually, I have no clue where I borrowed him from, but he has a story behind him. => Your job is to tell me what his story is, so I  have a basis of where to start. This is what I need:

Name...
Age...
Species...
Job...
Love Interest (& what said love interest stats are)...
Story title (& is it a series)...
Story prompt...
& anything else you want to share...

I had the last 2 days off (family time)... mind you I do feel better for having the break away from the computer and when I let my mind go it actually started working properly again... At some God-awful-hour this morning, I woke up with the ending/last chapter for book 3: Pools of Amethysts (may have a title change still thinking on it) in The Lines of Marsden. Now once I finish the last 7K of head hopping in Windblown Kisses: My Knight in Tarnished Armour (or as an alternative title) The Connelly Chronicles: Ray. I'll get back onto TLOM.

Exercising is going well I have already lost 2 kg (4.4 lbs) in the last week and can only hope that it keeps on as it is. I will give you updates every now and again if I remember.

What's The Go...

So yesterday, I packed up all my tax stuff and trundled off to another tax meeting... slowly over the last six months I am finally getting some much needed answers I have been asking for years. Even though I did it wrong (the way I put the tax stuff together - they are going to show me exactly how they want it done for the future). They still thought I had all the correct information neatly presented and they can work with it this time.

We finally have a sunny fricken day so I can get the washing done and hopefully dry...  If not than my house will end up looking like a Laundromat again... that the be-all-&-end-all that the hubs is away.

This cute picture is just because my good friend Cherie Noel sent this to me a while ago on Facebook, and I just had to share it with you all. Everyone knows how much I love bats - they are right up there with cats (wild & domestic), dragons, wolves & gargoyles.

Day 3 Of Exercise Regime & Other News...

Okay, so the truth is after 3 days of this regime -  I don't know if I will ever be up to this guys level of fitness. I get up at the arse-crack of dawn, and make my way to the home Gym Em has set up in our shed.... I look around and found myself all on my lonesome - where was Em you may ask? (I'll tell you where she was - snuggled up in her nice warm bed sleeping).

I have only one complaint: My armpits and upper arms (the inside where it meets my pit) are sore... everywhere else I'm fine. On the upside: I'm not so tired all the damn time.

On other news: I am onto the last 15K review of Windblown Kisses: My Knight in Tarnished Armour. I will sub this as soon as my beta reader and Cinders have had a chance to give it a look-see. And I have heard I should be starting edits on Experimentals: Blessed With A Curse by next week or the week after.
