Day 148: Sleep Over

 

Today I took over another load. I also did some whipper snipping in the short gulley and the carport area. I also cleaned the dining room venetian blinds. I absolutely hate cleaning these things. I'll be glad when they are all done (I have 8 of them to do).

Monsoon decided tonight would be a good night for a sleep over. Meaning I am going to spend the night getting kicked in the back all night long. Love my granddaughters (most of the time). At least I can lose myself in Mercy Thompson's world

Day 147: Tired As Hell

I took another load over to the new place. and then did some rearranging of what's left at the current house. house is starting to look empty. Trying only to leave enough stuff for the last few weeks that we'll be here.

I did some more whipper snipping. I'm actually proud of what I've managed to get done. I'm just hoping it doesn't all grow back before I actually move.

My whole body is starting to ache from all the work. I'll have to get used to it. At the next house I'll try and stay on top of things.

 

Day 146: A Wasted Day

 

Took another load over... and ended up with Monsoon because her mum needs to clean the house. I'm hoping she actually does do some cleaning and not just go home and flake off. I'm dreading that it will be the latter.

Graceful and Hurricane started using the drop off zone at school. Meaning, we don't have to walk them into school each morning. No more crying.

Hard to get anything done while monsoon is here causing havoc; she was in a right royal mood. The worst part she wasn't picked up until after the other two finished school in the afternoon.

She really needs a nap and is fighting it for all she is worth. I bet she falls asleep just before her mum comes to pick her up.

Day 145: Granddaughter Day

 

I had Monsoon and Hurricane today. Hurricane was sick and couldn't go to school. their mum was renewing her resuscitation certificate for her job. I had the girls again while their mum had to go and pick up Graceful from school. 

Why is it when the kids are too sick to go to school, once it's past the point of them not going, they miraculously perk up and become total pains in the arse. That was Hurricane today... drove me nuts.

The girls have swimming this afternoon. I'm not sure if they are going to go, seeing as they are all snotty and blocked up... sneezing and coughing.

Day 144: Sleep Over

 

I have the girls for a sleep over while their mum tries and gets her assignment done. I bet I end up sleeping on the air mattress with Monsoon again. I wonder if I'll have to move to the couch at some stage

Not feeling the best today, but that got put on hold because life has to go on.

My niece stopped by for a visit in the day, when she was on her way home from a work conference. It was good to see her.

Sad to say that I'm not going to have an early night. These girls are going to be up past midnight just because they want to annoy the heck out of me.

Day 143: Spiders

 

I have been cleaning out both the pantry and the linen cupboard at the new place and they were full of little red spiders similar to this one. I loathe spiders... Most of the stuff in the pantry was out of date. I had to toss it all. At least I have enough of my own to restock it all. It's going to be hard to get everything to fit in. the new pantry is smaller than the one I have now.

Hurricane is excited to go and pick up her new glasses today. I think because one of the frames is Spiderman.

Realized how hard it is to clean when the hot water isn't really hot, and there aren't any plugs for the sink. I'm going to have remedy that situation.

Day 141: Leaving #2

 

My 2nd sister and brother-in-law are leaving today. So I have a chance to catch up on all the chores that were left by the wayside while I had my visitors.

I have a mad headache and a really sore back today. I'm mega tired. At least the cats have stopped freaking out with so many people being around.

I threw out the air mattress with the hole in it but kept the cover to put on the one at my daughter's place. I have to try and get back on track with my packing and moving schedule. I need to get` out of this house on time.
