Day 162: Getting It Done

Getting as much of the whipper snipping done as I can. I don't want to have to pay for someone to come in and do it. I can tell you my upper arms and my armpits are as sore as hell from all the packing, cleaning, and yard work that I've been doing. It will all be worth it in the end.

In between doing everything I have been reading Patricia Briggs (Mercy Thompson) of a night to unwind.

Day 161: Took A Gutsa

Today while whipper snipping the driveway; I stepped into a pothole the wrong way and tumbled head over heels. The whipper snipper went flying and nearly landed in the neighbour's yard. I ended up falling on my left knee, left shoulder, and smashed the left side of my face into the drive. I even managed to warp my glasses in the process. Not a good day. instead of resting, I had to pick myself up and dust myself off and keep on whipper snipping. even though I'm aching all over.

Day 160: Cats

Why is it when you are so busy trying to get stuff done the pets (in my case - cats) decide it would be the best time to act out. my youngest cat has decided now would be a good time to catch mice and bring them inside. The cats are smart, they know we're moving and are freaking out a little bit (I assume).

Also, we have some kind of wild animals digging up holes all over our lawn... pains in the arse... and seeing as I haven't actually seen what they are I don't know how to stop them.

Even worse, I have an ear infection. So I'm not feeling 100% today. It's not the best time for me to be sick.

Day 159: Windy

I work up all ready to get to work in the yard, but it was too windy to do anything. So, I had the day off, because I needed the damn rest. I'm not feeling well today. Though, I did have to take the girls down to their swimming lessons. Just to top off an already awful day. I couldn't get a car park; so I had to park right at the back of the lot and wrangle Monsoon and Hurricane on the walk from the car to the swimming centre. The problem wasn't the wrangling. It was that I can't move as fast as a 3 and a 4-year-old. feeling poorly and I had to chase the two of them all the way to into the building.

Day 158: Good News & Bad News

The good news: is that one of my neighbours took pity on me and finished mowing my driveway... I still have to whipper snip it, but it's cut a whole days work out for me, so thank you kind neighbour.

The bad news: is that I still have to get back out and whipper snip the long gulley. Let's just hope I don't fall down it again today.

At some stage I also have to find time to do a quick run downtown and pick up some stuff. I hate going out when I have so much work to do. I guess I'll just have to wear my yard working clothes.

Day 157: Insomnia

Lately, with everything going on I have been suffering with insomnia. I hate waking up tired as hell. I hope it doesn't last for too long. but knowing me it'll last right up until I move or even get the new place all unpacked.

Today I have to take a load of stuff over to the house and then come back and get stuck into the whipper snipping again. Right now, it feels like it's never ending.

My cat Robson is being a pain in the arse. Oliver is a dream. I suppose they are freaking out because they know something is happening.

Day 156: Another Day - Another Load

Today I took over another load and then moved some stuff around in the new place. I swear to God it seems like it's never ending. I know I'm doing all these little bits now so that the actual move day will be short... I just wish it was already over and done with.

I also had Monsoon all day. she decided that she needed to be with Mar-Mar and not her mum. So that means I have her until mum got home from dance with the other two girls in the late afternoon... Let me just tell you a 3-year-old is no help when it comes to cleaning a house in preparation for moving. Seeing as I can't go outside with her here (I have an unfenced dam); we'll be doing inside chores.
