Day 82: Damn Weather

 

This is what our sky has looked like for the few days. there has also been thunder and rain, so it has made doing outdoor very difficult. I'm hoping today they just stay as clouds so I can at least attempt to mow the yards... and poison the parts that need it.

Weighed in 104.9kg- the good news is I didn't gain any weight.

Had a huge huntsman spider in my room last night. I know we shouldn't kill them, but dang it when you're terrified of them a whole can of spray is allowed to be used.

Today I have to reclean the dining room and the 2nd loungeroom because no seems to know how to put anything away. It drives me absolutely nuts. I also need to buy two over the door hangers so I can dismantle a mirror and make it so it can hang over a door. I did have two hangers, but no one knows where they went; hence the reason I have buy new ones.

Day 80: Chore Day Again

 

Today I am going to get the three girls to clean up their rooms. I like to get it all sorted out... also be a good time to declutter the toys and clothes.

I'm also going to do the washing to get ready for school again on Monday... I'll also make sure that my daughter goes through both cars looking for any and all socks... Two months since school started and all the socks are missing again. 

Today I'm also going to think of a better set up for the cupboards above the stove and wall oven. They are what would be described at our junk drawer... we have all the things in them that we don't want the kids to be able to touch. I've ordered some better storage solutions.

I also need to check the tanks to see if they need switching back to town water. I had someone show me how to do it...

Day 79: Holy Hell

 

I woke up feeling like this today. Last night I couldn't get my brain to shut off. So, every time I dozed off, it was like my brain would come up with something else for me to ponder on.

Coffee is not happening... not at all.

School camp gets back today. Hopefully she had a good time. I suppose I will find out when Graceful gets home.

I worked more on typing up all the synopsis. keep them all in a file so I can easily find them again when/if I want to work on them. Because it drove me nuts when I couldn't find them.

I also had to spend time with Monsoon and Hurricane doing Where's Wally... Monsoon has eagle eyes; she's way faster at finding stuff than I am.

Day 78: Parcel Day

This is what I'm hoping turns up today... the kids new trampoline. they need a new one because the current one is too small for all three of them to jump on at once. Don't get me wrong they still do it, but needless to say one of them will come off crying and hurt... but then no more than 10 minutes later they are all back out there jumping like crazy again. Mind you, I'm not looking forward to having to put the thing together.

I've also been back in the kitchen rearranging everything. Trying to get the pantry to a place that I'm happy with it. Where it's easier for me to find stuff when I need it.

Well, I started in the pantry and then moved onto the pot/frying pan pantry. then it was the drawers... I got some organisers to hold all of the cooking utensils... trays that I can separate everything into the correct categories... Now I have to make sure everyone else keeps it neat and tidy.

Day 77: Off To Camp

Today was an early start. Graceful had to be at school just after 7am. to get organized to go on the bus. There'll probably be tears galore. Meanwhile I'm at home getting Hurricane and Monsoon up and ready for school at the normal time.

Today I'm also trying to get a bit of work done one my computer.  Easier to do when I don't have Monsoon here serenading me... or annoying the heck out of me because she's starving every ten minutes. Which is what happened to me yesterday.

I'm still looking for character pictures... and typing up any and all synopsis that I've found so I don't lose them again.

I'm also catching up on the washing. I hate having it build up.

Day 76: Another Hot One

 

Even though it's all overcast... it seems as hot as hell. It's not helping that menopause is kicking my arse, and I've been having hot flushes all day long.

I made a mistake of introducing my granddaughters to Where's Wally... I have all the books from when my daughter was young. So now any spare minute I have... I'm doing the books all over again, and Wally and his friends are still freaking hard to find.

Did the last bit of shopping before Graceful heads off to school camp. I also got myself a decent pair of jeans from the local op-shop for only $8.50. Nice thick denim... unlike all my other ones that seem to be thinner denim.

It's almost too hot to concentrate enough to get anything done. I've been waiting all day for a parcel to arrive... It looks like it might turn up tomorrow; as it's past quitting time for most people. It's the last part of Gracefuls birthday present.
