Day 108: Wall Art & More

Dang it... I don't know how many times I have to go mad at Monsoon from drawing on the walls... even making her scrub it all off by herself hasn't deterred her. It drives me bloody bonkers every time I find some. Sometimes she draws good things - Stuff you can actually recognise what it is, but most of the time it is just random scribble... and usually in a red pen either biro or felt-tip pen. The hardest colour in the world to get off of anything.

The soles of my feet are freaking sore today... Probably because I'm fat. But having a stuffed-up thyroid it is hard to lose weight. I did try going to a dietitian, but the way he wanted me to eat was way more that I was used to and I gained weight instead of losing it. So, now I'm back to struggling through it all on my own.

I'm taking it easy today. Because we're still not all better yet, but we're getting there... I just wish I had the energy of the kids. If I could bottle and sell that I would be a billionaire.

Until tomorrow, remember: The voices in your yeah, can be real dicks... or maybe that's only mine.

Day 107: So Damn Tired

I can't believe how many days lately that I have woken up tired as hell. Even though getting 6+ hours sleep a night, it is all broken up because everyone is sick. I can't count the times I have gotten up to tend to someone during the night... Even the damn cats are needy. Needing to be cuddled and the centre of attention.

I have the attention span of a goldfish today. I can't seem to focus on anything for long spans. The kids seem to be over their part of the illness that is going around. So, they are all back to their wonderful noisy selves again... Yay what fun.

I tried brushing the long-haired calico cat out, but she wasn't into it. I'm so glad the other two are short haired = much easier to get the burrs out of.

Until tomorrow: Don't do anything of importance while you're so tired ~ You can stuff it up royally.

Day 106: Washing Day

Now that the kids are all sick too, I can't believe how many pairs of underpants per day. Today I'll be washing 73 pairs of the kids (nundies) as they call them.

This is a short and sweet entry as we are still all feeling like crap

Until tomorrow, remember: Take a breath and start again, because gaff taping the kids to a chair is illegal

Day 104: Still Sick... But

Today I decided to just get up and be up with the kids. Luckily for me they just wanted to play Where's Wally for most of the day or watch TV in my room with me. Now if I could just teach Hurricane and Monsoon the meaning of inside voice. Graceful is taking the day to hide in her bedroom to get away from her sisters.

I might even manage to get in a load of washing or two before the littles run out of underwear. I don't know how they go through so many in one day. It's like they change them every damn time they go to the loo.

I'm over being sick, now Mum and I are down to just having a cough and I think that is the worst part of it all because now everything hurts (especially, chest and gut).

Until tomorrow, remember: The road to hell was paved with good intentions.

Day 103: Freaking Sick.

Woke up as sick as a dog this morning (Seriously, I don't get that saying ~ but yet, we seem to use it all the time). It's not just me. Our whole house is sick. Adults more-so than the kids. they are healthy enough to be as annoying as hell.

Today I think I will just lay in bed and watch TV because I have a bad headache that doesn't let me focus on anything for too long. I'd sleep, but I don't think the three littles are going to let that happen.

Though Hurricane and Monsoon deciding to be helpful are in my room writing me out the shopping list for next week. It would be better if they could actually spell - I think I will be redoing the list myself, and add more than just candy, nuggets, potatoes and salami (which are their favourite foods). I think we'll need a little more than that to survive.

Reminded the neighbours across the road to come and collect the clothes we had put aside for their little girl... they keep what they want and then donate the rest to the thrift shop.

Until tomorrow, remember: Sleep is overrated.
