I know that I have already posted this recently but the awesome Chocolate Minx turned it into a video for me. I hope you all enjoy it again. I am just so stoked and I thank Chocolate Minx from the bottom of my heart.

Taylor V Donovan.
My friend Taylor V Donovan finally has her release date – December 30th
2011 for her novel Six Degrees of Lust. It will be released through MLRPress.
Do yourself a favour and mark it on your calendars as a must buy – Because believe
me this book is definitely a must read. Six Degrees of Lust will suck you in
and leave you wanting for more from the very first word. I was privileged
enough to get to read more than a few snippets while writing and cannot wait to
read the completed product. I fell in love with each and everyone one of these
characters – my favourite is Sasha and his story is yet to come
so you all know I will be patiently waiting (or pestering Taylor to write
faster) for the rest of the books to become available.
Taylor gave us all a brief glimpse
into the By Degrees world with her Christmas Short: Southern Winterlands,
also available from MLRPress.
Six Degrees of Lust (By Degrees #2)
New York City FB.I. team leader Samuel Shaughnessy lives for his job and immediate family. Sexually active and emotionally unavailable works just fine for him.
Former fireman Machlan O’Bannon now manages a sports bar in Houston and is ready to be the man he always wanted to: out, proud and drama free. His family wants to lock him in the closet, but he just wants the man of his dreams.
One man is as high strung as the other is laid back. Their lives are not only different, but miles away. They don’t want to be involved… but will they be able to stay apart.

Slowly Creeping In.
OMG!!! What A Year!!!
I can't believe how fast this year is drawing to an end. More to the point I can't believe how much my life has changed in the last six months. it was the 19th of July that I received my first contract to sign for MLRPress for The Lines Of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken, I have participated in and written my first free story Shadows on the Heart. which has since earned me a nomination in the Member's Choice Awards. I wrote the first part in my Blog story, Children of Varnuse: When The Walls Come Tumbling Down, and have just started the second part - Wind Walkers. I am also as of tomorrow writing a second Blog story Jettermane a vampire base society.I received a contract from MLRPress for my Christmas Short Angels on Top. I got my first rejection from Samhain for Windblown Kisses: My Knight in Tarnished Armour - So I am now looking for a new home for that series. I participated in and completed NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) total count 50707 on Watson Falls: Between One Heartbeat & The Next. it is a shifter series and will be a spin-off from my Pack Matters series.
I have made tons of new friends and have thought of tons of new storyline ideas. I have found myself a sometimes writing partner in the fabulous Embry Carlysle and we are busy creating our new universe for The Realms of the Great Beyond - you will all be hearing plenty about that next year. on January 1st I will give you all a run-down on my writing goals for 2012.

My Take On A Classic Christmas Poem...
Twas The Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas &
I was stuck in this place,
Everything was gone – the whole human
race.
I wasn’t alone, I found one by my
side,
We fought for our lives until we
decided to hide.
The war raging outside, we made a
small bed,
We snuggled down deep and covered our
heads.
He, in his blue jeans, scarf and
tight shirt,
Me, dressed the same and willing to
flirt.
With sly little looks, and skin
touching skin,
Blocked out the world and the trouble
we’re in.
Between soft gentle kisses &
losing our clothes,
And tiny caresses that tingle our
toes.
Lips meeting lips when he started to
purr,
His teeth elongated as he sprouted
some fur.
My eyes opened wide – I trembled in
fear,
I struggled a lot yet he pulled me near.
He nuzzled my neck & crumbled my
core,
He nipped at my throat & I offered
him more.
So many warnings screamed in my head,
I pressed my lips tight so they
couldn’t be said.
So many things he whispered down low,
Telling me how he couldn’t let me go.
I gazed in his eyes that had turned
pale blue,
No understanding – I hadn’t a clue.
Some things I need to make this all
clear,
What’s happening? Why am I here?
He smiled sadly and said it was fate.
He’d love me forever because I was his
mate.
He told me his name on a long winded
sigh,
While I was in shock & wanted to
cry.
Alden Langley and he was a fox
All that ran through my mind – I’m
still wearing socks.
He moved just a little, I watched fur
recede,
I studied him closely, his eyes full
of need.
My heart all but broke, my eyes filled
with tears,
Deep down inside I sensed all his
fears.
I realised right then that mine were
the same,
So I smiled and told him my name.
“I’m
Hector Lewis, my friends call me Heck,”
I tilted my head & he again kissed
my neck.
He whispered a tale of the new world
I’m in,
It was a tear in space that brought me
to him.
A wish made on a long ago on a faraway
night.
Brought our world crashing &
locking up tight.
I came from Earth & he from afar,
Alden’s home is on a faraway star.
Both ripped through time & and
also through space
Is how we ended in this unknown place.
I started laughing till tears flowed
free,
How the fuck did this happen to me?
I felt like I was crazy – like this
wasn’t real
I reached out a hand I just had to
feel.
Maybe this was a dream or
I was dead,
Or something fucked up, that was just
in my head.
But nothing quite mattered as he
fondled my balls
Merry Christmas to me & to you,
one & all.

Embry Carlysle Q & A.
Okay I am going to introduce you to my
very good friend and my sometimes writing partner – Embry
Carlysle. When we first met I thought she was a crazy arsed stalkier and then I
got to know her. I am still debating on
the crazy arsed stalker thing, but what I did find out is that she is a
pretty awesome chick. Sometimes I honestly think that we share the one brain,
it has gotten to the stage that we can finish each other’s sentences –
especially when it comes to the paranormal parallel universe that we are working
on. Now without further ado I will let her tell you in her own words what she
is all about. To see my answers to the same questions you need to go to Embry's blog - Take the short cut on the right hand side of my blog, simply click on her picture and it will tale it there. (Under my Profile.)
Tell
us how this particular story came about? Was there a particular instant when it
all just fell into place and you thought that is my next story?
Stories are always floating around in
my head, but for this particular story was inspired by an adorable picture I
found online of the cutest couple ever kissing at what appears to be a
Halloween Party. From there the story took form.
How
long have you been writing?
It feels like forever, but serious
writing began a few years ago and I have focused on the m/m genre in the last
year.
How
do you choose which genre and flavour your story line will take, and what
influences your choice?
Paranormal is my first love, so
naturally my current WIP’s are paranormal.
What
is your specific writing style, if any?
I really wouldn’t say I have a
specific style, other than I always have a bit of humour in them. Life is far
too serious in the real world and I think humour helps “lighten” our
subconscious. Allowing the reader to “relax and enjoy” for a moment.
Is
there anything you find particularly challenging about bringing a story to
life?
Oh my yes, several things come to
mind. I think for me it’s always a challenge to stay focused on a current
storyline, because my over active imagination tends to pop up new storylines at
the most inopportune time.
NJ: That is why you have me
to help keep you on track – can you feel that whip?
Who
is your favourite character you‘ve written to date and why?
Oh wow that’s a tough one. I think in
each story I have a favourite while I’m writing it, but if I had to pick one
off the top of my head it would be Sean from a story I haven’t finished. He is
a Rock Star who can see ghosts and just about the funniest and funnest (is that even a word) character to
write.
Which
character in your body of works was the hardest to write?
Probably the one I’m working on now.
Jamie was a victim of child-abuse and for me that is very difficult to write,
because it is heartbreaking on so many levels.
Which
stories have you enjoyed working on the most and why?
My ghost story for sure, but also my story
based on Greek Mythology. I am a huge fan of all things mythological.
What
will people come away with after reading your books?
Hopefully they will love my characters
as much I have loved writing them. That for a few minutes they could escape
into another world full of alpha heroes and the men they love.
What
are you currently reading?
Well your stories of course. LOL
NJ: Well said, and I didn't even have to pay her that much to say it… LMAO.
What
music is in your stereo at the moment? And does it influence the way you write?
I listen to a plethora of songs. Just
depends on what kind of mood I’m in I suppose. Whatever the scene is at the
time I’m writing it, I find different music to fit the mood so to speak.
Are
you still as passionate about writing as you were when you first started?
Oh most definitely, I plan to write
until my fingers fall off.
Name
three Authors you read over and over again?
Mary Calmes,
K.A. Mitchell
Larissa Ione,
And of course NJ Nielsen.
NJ: (Okay that one was all Emb’ I didn’t bribe
her for that one – Psst, the money is in the mail.)
Can
you share any of your current WIPS?
Well considering that’s all I have,
sure. My current one is about my cougar-shifter and the man whose soul he
saves.
NJ: Ahem – did you forget
the whole The Realms thing that we have going on… sheesh where is the loyalty?
For
those readers that have yet to know you please tell us something about
yourself.
This is always a tough question. Talking
is never a problem for me, talking about myself…is. Let’s see I could give the
standard answer of; I have always wanted to be a writer, which is definitely
true. But it is my true love of the m/m genre that has truly inspired me. What
could be better than writing stories that combine my two loves; m/m and
paranormal? For me it is everything.

What's Happening Now...
Okay, I have had my Christmas story Angels on Top released at MLRPress, and it is also now available at Amazon. I can say that I am totally stoked and feel like a true author now.
I am going to keep the blog story Wind Walkers as a Monday story, and I will begin a new one for Fridays called Jettermane - as someone brought it back into my mind. I will begin that next Friday as I have Dr's appointments today with my daughter. That will give me time to find the right picture to use as the visual blog picture for the story. You all know I need the visual to help me write - I don't know why; I just do.
Today I am the guest blogger on Jadette Paige's blog. I will be giving the story behind the story on The Lines Of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken. I was so excited to do this when Jadette offered me the opportunity to tell the world why this particular series means so much to me.
If you get a chance drop by and leave me a comment or two. I will add a visual link to the left side of my blog for those who wish to click on that will take you right there. Besides my own there are many other great stories to be read.
It is at times like this I can't stop the smile from living permanently on my face. My daughter said to me only yesterday that I am now a true author in her eyes because she has my Christmas story on her kindle - cracked me up laughing I can tell you.
On that note I must away and get ready to drive to Toowoomba, which I am not liking as it is wet and cold .
