Okay just letting you all know on June 11 I am scheduled for a guest blog on Guys Like Romance Too I am talking up the reasons behind Novel - The Lines of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken.
Why?
Because June is Vampire month and RAMTBB fits that bill exactly.
So please show your support to me and a heap of other wonderful authors who will be flashing their wares over with Carson.
I will tell you about how and why I started this series and what actually inspired the MM genre and Michael, Christian & Doyle. I may even tell you a little behind the dynamics of the line itself.
I was honoured to be a part of this wonderful month because I love a good Vampire story. I hope you all love my boys as much as I loved writing them.

Let Me Introduce My Boys
The Lines Of Marsden
I can tell you I am starting to get pretty excited about The Lines Of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken coming out on June 1st... at MLRPress. So today I thought I would introduce you to my three main characters. Michael Marsden, Christian Risely & Doyle Kerwin. All the pictures I purchased from the wonderful D W Skinner (who in my humble opinion does some amazing stuff). It was only recently that I saw this picture of Dan's and said OMG this is my Michael. This is exactly how I see him. So this is how my friendship with Dan began. I have every intention of turning these into trading cards as soon as I can work out how to do it. I will have to send Lex Valentine an email to see if she can point me in the right direction.
Without further adieu:
Michael Marsden:
This is my main character throughout the first six books. He is the reason I have a series. Michael Marsden would probably be considered a twink as he is youngish, slender and very emotional. Some would say overemotional. I don't see him that way at all, but that could be because I know what happens to him in the future and you all have to wait and find out.
Michael has to deal with three thinks in this book.
1) He is a newly turned Vampire who for his own reasons doesn't want to follow the rules of his new family.
2) He has to come to turns with the fact that he is also gay, something he had never really wanted to explore to far before.
3) He finds himself as the obsession of a crazy-arsed Vamp who is out for revenge.
I think of Michael Marsden as like an onion - there are so many layers to him and we have each book to peel away a little more until we find out exactly who he is meant to be.
Christian Risely:
Christian is an enigma, well not really, Chris mainly doesn't remember his past. He doesn't even know how old he really is, but as things happen within the family his memories start to come back bit by bit. But not giving us the complete picture of who he really is.
Although he is not a Marsden he is still part of the line. when Benj enters the story in book three you find out more about Christian. He will become their Drarcaen. Or more importantly he will be Michael's Drarcaen. They share a specail bond which brings them together even as it tears them apart. - Destiny's a bitch, but all things happen for a reason. (Even though sometimes it is hard to work out what those reasons are).
Christian walks between two lives, the one he is meant to have and the one he does have. In the end it will be up to him to choose exactly which path he needs to take for his own peace of mind and happiness.
Christina is not who he appears to be. I am not saying he is evil - because he isn't. But even Christian doesn't know what he is capable of. Through his bond with Michael he slowly comes to sees that what was done in his ast can be undone and he will be a stronger man because of it.
Doyle Kerwin:
Doyle would have to be my favourite character to write ever (I really don't know why he just is).
Doyle kind of just goes with the flow. even though through his dreams he knows what is coming he doesn't act upon them as he also knows things have to happen in the time allotted to them. I think of Doyle as the peace keeper. Though he will become known as the Loyalty for this line of Marsden. I haven't exactly worked out what the loyalty does yet (so any idea's just throw them my way). Though I do know when it all comes to down to it - he doesn't follow his sire he follows Michael (hence the loyalty).
As I re write each book I bring more and more of Doyle into them. He was never meant to be a main character but I just can't help myself.
Doyle is just the guy that comforts most of the family when needed, but never piss him off. Because he will just wipe you out of his life for as long as he deems enough time ( Example - Kerr pissed him off and he never spoke to Kerr for a whole year, even though they lived in the same house. That was whispered in confidence but I don't mind sharing it with all of you).
If you have any questions I will answer them if I can.

Useful Tidbits On Writing
After a suggestion from the wonderful Kris Jacen over at MLR, I realise I need to start keeping profiles on all my characters in all of my stories this is going to be very time consuming but should be well worth it. Which means I will have to re read most of my own work as I have no clue how I have described some of them. (Hmm - I wonder if I can bribe Emily to help me).
I am thinking of doing it along the lines of how I did those few for SPAM Inc. (You know the ones Embry and I posted on our blogs awhile back). What do you all think? I think they might work.
Kris also suggested that along with myself, my Beta Readers should have copies of the profiles so they can keep me on track. She suggested I have a circle of Beta Readers - would two Beta Readers represent a circle?
So over the next few weeks I will be making up profiles, and maybe looking to add to my Beta Reading circle. (Kinda feels like I'm auditioning people to join my coven/sect/whatever - LOL).
This picture I posted is just another awesome thing from Dan so I hope you all enjoy it.

I Am Sorry
I want to make an apology to my MLR Editor. I am sorry if what I wrote earlier seemed like I was dissing her in any way, because honestly I wasn't. I was just rambling.
I would like everyone to know I have complete faith in my editor - I did forget two whole steps in the WSC process - (Line Editor & Proof reading bit). And (ages) to me in reality is probably only a few days. It just feels like ages mainly because I still have the damn flu.
I know that my MLR Editor has done a wonderful job and has taught me so many things about writing that I didn't know and I appreciate her in more ways than I can count. She explains things in a way that makes it easy for me to understand.
I have made an amendment to my earlier post - but for those of you who read the original post this is me saying sorry - I hate that I may have made it seem like she is crap at her job. Because it isn't true. She knows her stuff well - and seriously I should think before my mouth actually does the talking, (or my fingers do the typing as the case may be.)
Yes I can be a dumbarse at times... I honestly never meant for that last post to come off the way it sounded I just wasn't thinking when I wrote it. I feel really bad about it all. So I offer the above rose to Kimberly.
Updates & Whatnots...
Man, is it cold here this morning. My little part of Australia is freezing.
Update #1: One Last Kiss Goodbye, has moved up to the next step in editing over at Silver. (yeah I have no clue either). I do have an email somewhere that explains it all to me - I will have to read it again. Still coming out for Father's Day in June.
Update #2: I am still waiting to receive the Galley for The Lines of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken. and they better come soon as that is due for release on June 1st.
Update # 3: I am working on TLOM 2: Living in Shadows. I have decided to re write a huge chunk of it - just because I can.
Update # 4: Embry and I are in discussions on SPAM Inc. today, we are going to get some of our rough spots smoothed out in our world we are creating. We need to work out a bit of a file system so we both have the same files we are working on so we don't screw up when we are both writing the same character in different books - believe me I have done it before all on my lonesome. (Yes I admit it I screw up) LOL.
Update # 5: When Souls Collide might be ready for Galley as well - I am not sure on that I have't heard from my editor in a few days. (Mind you the poor woman is run off her feet with all the work she has to do, as I am only one of the author's she edits for.) WSC will be out for Father's Day as well. I really like this story and will be writing one follow on book about two of the secondary characters. I will let you all guess as to which two, (maybe I've already told you). The book will be called: A Different Way Of Seeing.

Piss Off's & Other News...
Yesterday I missed a day of blogging due to the fact I sat at our work shed for Five hours waiting for the guy to come and lay the cables for our phone line. It had to be me as the hubs was in meetings all day, Emily was in at the office working, Cameron was in TAFE learning something or other.
So there I sat for five-fricken-hours and the guy still hadn't turned up, the hubs, Em and I all tried calling him but got no reply so I decided fuck it, and I packed up and went home.
Still the guy hasn't called or arrived at the shed so I have no clue what his problem is.
ON OTHER NEWS:
I have done the first lot of edits for my MLR Father's Day story: When Souls Collide. And you will be all happy to know there was only one instance of head hopping I am so proud of myself on that one. As it has been something I have been working on. Okay that is my little bit of an update.
