Yes homophobia is a big deal

To me homophobia, bullying, and no equality all mean the same thing it all starts with HOMOPHOBIA! And I have to ask myself why? Why can't people just mind their own business? Why do they need to discriminate against people just because they deem them to be different than what they consider normal? I am a big believer in the whole - "Cut us and we all bleed red." - Why does two people of the same sex loving each other cause people as a whole to think it okay to act like complete and utter idiots?

I just don't get it!!!

I don't understand how anyone can judge someone by who they choose to love. I hear a lot - "But the bible says..." Has it crossed anyone's mind that maybe the bible is wrong? I am a catholic, and even I see no shame in loving someone of the same sex. I personally believe as long as you are loving someone than everything will be okay in the world.

I guess you are wondering if I myself am gay?

No, I'm not, and I can't sit here and tell you how it feels to be at the brunt of a homophobic attack - because it would be guessing on my part. And no, I was never picked on or bullied growing up. But I have had friends who have been. I was there to pick them up and dust them off and help them find their centre again. So this is why I feel I should be allowed to comment on this subject.

Yesterday I was sent this YouTube Video and I know it is on equal rights for same sex couples, but in my eyes if one of the families hadn't been homophobic than none of this would have happened. WARNING! Tissues will be needed.

The words IT GETS BETTER don't mean anything unless we all band together and take that first step in setting things right. We need to all have our say - we need to be their for those who do have to suffer at the hands of homophobia. Join with me in trying to make the world a better place and say  -"you know what? I think today I will believe for just one moment that it really does get better"

If you are someone who is subject of homophobia - PLEASE - reach out to someone and let them know what is happening. There are People out willing to help as long as you reach out to them.

Setting up YA blog

I spent the whole day setting up the blog for my YA author Persona... It seems like it has taken forever, but at least it is now done.

I had to ask a lot of people to help me work my way through it just to get the thing started - I am so NOT Techno Savvy - I had to end up going through a different browser and creating a new email account and a new Blogger (I wanted to stick with Blogger because this is the one I know how to use). And even though it was the same as here it felt like it was completely different.If you want to go and check it out here is the link:

My Brother Is So NOT Funny!!!

This morning my brother did the worst possible thing he could have done to me... Yes and I am calling him a bastard. And this is the reason why. This is how much my brother loves me... He fails to realise that paybacks are a bitch.

I was over at his house this morning, dropping my mum off for a visit with his MIL. When Ted innocently calls me into his home office to check out his latest tattoo he did yesterday. So I walk in expecting to see something fan-bloody-tastic, when instead there is a picture of a huge arse spider tattoo. I could have rivalled any of those dopey chicks in a scary movie... which was closely followed by a lot of swearing and calling him every dame I could think of. Meanwhile Ted was laughing so much I thought he was going to pee himself. (I should add it was a very realistic looking spider).

I found this to be fricken awesome. This is one seriously talented person. I was mesmerized from start to finish as I watched it come alive.

Beneath all the stage make-up there is a truly beautiful young man underneath it all. I found out Recently he is the same age as my daughter (Okay, so my daughter told me that  - She keeps telling me 1990 was a very good year).

This is to show you all what he looks like with his newer haircut (yes it ages him slightly) but in all honestly I think he is way better looking with the shorter hair. (Emily informs me Andy is 6"3' - So very tall - I would probably reach his nipples - Get your minds out of the gutter people)

Gay Romance - Twinks.

Today I am guest Blogging over at  Erica Pike's Blog I am talking about TWINKS (Okay shees - I admit it I may be rambling about twinks). You all know what I am like when it comes to this sort of stuff.

I may even mention The Lines of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken. and how some people might perceive Michael Marsden to be.

ON OTHER NEWS:

I am still working through my profiles. I am at the stage of thinking  - Why the hell do I have so many characters in my stories? Also running through my head is - Why the hell do I have so many WIPS? I seriously think I might have to hire someone to help me sort this shit out. Emily doesn't just say no she says "Oh - Hell No!!!" So I'm guessing she doesn't want to help me. Where are the days when I can bribe my own child - stopped when she started earning more money that me... LOL. I'm still trying to talk her into cleaning up my book cases.

Because June is Vampire month and RAMTBB fits that bill exactly.
