Book Thoughts & Other Ideas.

 Okay, well what can I say I am still not feeling 100% so I think I will leave writing the blog story for tomorrow.  Though I have done:

1: One more lot of edits on One Last Kiss Goodbye for Silver, I even sent them back. (Go me - I hope they make sense) LOL.

2: I made my pick for the Father's Day covers for When Souls Collide ( I really picked two because I liked them both and then told them to surprise me.)

3: I have made a start on fixing up The Lines of Marsden: Living in Shadows. I don't have major changes but there are things that I want to add in as well as scenes I want to take out.

4: Talked with Erica Pike about Hop Against Homophobia which is coming up in 17 days.

5: And had a IM conversation with one of my Beta Readers (Yoda) about the changes I plan on Making on TLOM 2.

So all in all I think I have had a very productive day. I am even looking up how to make Cheese, Cauliflower, and Broccoli parcels as that is what Emily wants for dinner tonight.

Brain Farts & Promo Items.

It is 7:19 am in the morning and my brain hasn't really kicked in yet. Mainly because the wonderful Dan Skinner sent me some more wonderful character pictures for perusal hence the reason I am having a brain fart.

I have been told that The Lines of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken has gone off for Galley Proofing at MLR, and I have until August to tidy up book two: Living in Shadows (three months is doable, right?). I am lucky as the story is basically written I just have to remove a couple of the characters and bring Doyle into it more ~ Have I told you lately how much I love Doyle? Every one will love Christian or Michael but Doyle just has something about him that makes me want to hug him.

LiS follows straight on from RAMTBB, and then book Three will follow straight on from there and it is called: Pools of Amethysts. it will round out the first major hurdle that the Lines of Marsden has to face.

I am happy to announce that Sue Main has kindly agreed to beta for me on this one. I need a little bit of sanity in the rush that is about to come our way. I have Yoda (Jim Adkinson) as my other beta and between the two of them I am sure they will keep me on track. Luckily the Lines of Marsden is a project I hold close to my heart so I will give it my all. One of these years I will have to write a companion for this series so you can see my thought process of how this all came about.

And as for the promo portion of this post ~ I am still trying to work out what to do for GRL, Erica and I did one thing as a duo and now I have to work out what to do as an individual I am thinking Postcards or trading cards with two of my covers on them. What do you think?

What's Happening...

I am having one of those days where I just wanna throw my head back and scream long and hard until my throat is so raw that my voice is no longer able to sound.

I have to admit they aren't even bad edits really I think I am just crap at explaining things. I am finding it very strange and difficult to jump from one mind frame to the next. I have two editors in two different publishing firms that want two very different things from me. seriously I jumble everything up when I try and squash both methods into the one story. Shouldn't there be like one universal editing system out there? (I can dream can't I?) I know I will get it all eventually but up until I do I am gonna wanna scream (a lot).

I think in the end it will be better for me but I feel like I need to go back to school just to learn English again ~ believe me I sucked at it the first time around. I really don't want to attempt it again. I know the picture I have posted has absolutely no relevance to what I am ranting over - I just thought it was pretty.

Awesome New Shoes

These are one of two pairs of shoes I have bought to take with me to GRL. This pair is called Demon, and I got because of the bats - I love bats. They are so comfortable I bought the from Knockout Heels. They will match all the bats on my tattoo sleeve.

This Pair is the send set and is aptly titled Vampire, and again they are so comfortable to wear. They look so cool on my feet it helps that my wardrobe is mostly made up of black, red, and purple clothes. Both these shoes are from the Demonica brand which I definitely recommend.

Today In The Life Of...

Today I am not doing edits for once as, the three books are in the respective hands of the editors I work with  - though I will probably be busy as next week.

I have taken this opportunity to do one last read through and fix of Windblown Kisses: My Knight In Tarnished Armour, before I send it out for submission.

I have also received and returned the contract to MLR for When Souls Collide. It is for their Father's Day Anthology I haven't seen the cover yet but I'm sure it will be good. It will be released around the American Father's Day - in June. That's the right month isn't it? I have no clue.

I am also getting ready to convert the second book in The Lines of Marsden which is: Living in Shadows. I have some minor character changes to make. Why? Because I want to LOL. I even bought some wonderful pictures to use as the Cover.(Yes from Dan Skinner) Again why? Because Dan is fricken brilliant!

This is the wonderful Cover for my book coming out for Silver Publishing (tentative date June 16) I just wanted you all to see the wonderful job Reese Dante has done.  These guys are my Kayne Henderson  (left) & Jacen Ives (right). Still working on Edits for this one. I am so excited.

ON OTHER NEWS:

The Lines of Marsden: Rules Are Meant To Be Broken has headed off to the proofer I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon you will be able to read all about Michael, Christian and Doyle and fall in love with them all as I have. This book is one of my greatest love's because I wrote most of it sitting in hospital rooms with Emily.

Breathe Deep & Suck It Up!!!

I am having a total WTF day. When everything I attempt makes me go - WTF - seriously.

I am trying to catch up on household stuff as I do my edits and things keep going wrong let me give you a taste of my day.

1) Doorways have a habit of moving just as I go to walk through them, ending with me walking into a wall or seven.

2) Every time I get up from the computer the cat (Toby) decides my keyboard is the place to be.

3) I keep adding e's to words that shouldn't have them eg. him(e), hot(e), Michael(e)... you get the drift.

4) Your nephew (who is no longer my favourite - yes you heard me Caleb - I now dub you Dumbarse-Fuckwit-Wanker) sends you weird arse texts pretending he doesn't know who you are. And thinking he is absolutely hilarious - I know this because he text me telling me so.

5) Why is it when the husbands away everything in the house seems to break or go wrong? The locks seem to have all decided to not lock at the same time. The lights are flickering. No one can find the keys to the shed (I would say the hubs has them in China - at least he hasn't lost his wallet this time - or should that be yet?)

Holy Crap & Then Some...

 I know that today is Blog story day but I am afraid I have to put in on hold for a couple of days. (Hopefully get it posted in two days = my Tuesday) as I have edits for Silver Publishing on my Father's Day story: One Last Kiss Goodbye. 

And when I say edits - I mean there is a shit load of them to do. Honestly it isn't so much as that I have a tone of changes to make but I do have  1244 edits notes to wade through, but in all honesty there are actually only about 198 minor changes to make the story flow. (I.E. I have to replace a semi colon with a period/full stop.) My wonderful editor on this project must have had heart failure when he first clapped eyes on the way I write. Is it bad that I actually apologised to me editor ahead of time? Though I know by the end of it all we will have a better product in our hands.

Last part of Tattoo sleeve...

 Okay, so for the last part of my Tattoo Halloween sleeve there is going to be a scarecrow Cinderella type girl. Oh, and there will be a shitload of bats added - just cause I love bats.

 I am very ticklish so I couldn't stop laughing when Ted was tattooing u near my armpit. I will have this whole sleeve done by the time I get to GRL in October. Honestly I can't wait for it to be finished.

 The counter guy (Rodney Rocket) picked what we used as inspiration so my arm has been a collaboration of all who work in the shop Sink The Ink. Luckily, I actually like the stuff that is put on my skin.

 I have been asked what am I going to do when I am older and I am covered in tattoos... my reply was, "Have colourful wrinkles." I mean seriously, what else can you say? I think a lot of my generation are going to get old and covered tattoos so I will be in great company. Well that is my ramble for the day - I will make sure I post the actual tattoo when it is done.

As You Can Tell...

 So I have been a little bit sick over the last week (nothing major - inner ear balance is out of whack.) I got to thinking that I needed to upgrade my blog a little. I know the changes aren't huge and you probably didn't even notice that I had changed anything.

 I decided in my off balance wisdom to make this blog site all about me. I will still occasionally pimp other people and Em and I will still do beautiful people and Em's Turn (music)... actually it will be basically exactly the bloody same - LOL - but I will remember to update the widgets at the end of each week.

 You will be able to see I have added a heap more widget counters so I now have most of my workable WIPs on display. And in my rambles I will tell you more about my works. So if there is any that you think you might like to hear more about feel free to leave me a comment on each days post and I will try and accommodate what you ask.

 Mostly though you are just going to get whatever falls out of my head. I can't promise that it will make sense because seriously half the time I don't even know what is going on... LOL - My Muse has taken a vacation with a couple of my main characters... he left me a message saying he has picked up a few more stragglers to bring home to share with you all. I wonder just who it is - crap lets just hope they're legal - or I could be writing YA a lot sooner than I planned.

A not so good review but hey not everyone likes my style.

It's that time of the year again...

So here is my Easter Ramble - Easter means something different to everyone. For some it is the religious aspects they focus on. For others it is all the sugary and chocolate goodness of the eggs etc. For other's it is an OMG!!! How much is this gonna cost me? Especially if they have more than one person to buy for. For me it is to decide what do I buy my daughter for doesn't eat Easter Eggs? This year she is hinting at new jeans... and I know once we buy said jeans she will need a shirt or something else to go with it... It is a never ending cycle of stuff that is running through my brain during these holidays.

What's Coming Up...

Okay I can here everyone saying gees what are you going to be working on next? I have thought long and hard about it and changed my mind more time than I can poke a stick at... The answer is I HAVE NO FRICKEN CLUE!!! There I said it... my mind is a total blank.

So I have put four things on the table and they are:

1 - SPAM Inc. #1: Claiming Roxy's Heart (yes it has had a name change as well.)

2 - Masters Of Time #2: On The Flipside Of Reverse (Cause Emily asked me to hurry the hell up with it.)

3 - Toowoomba Boys #3: Dancing with Demons (Mainly because this is Damon's story.)

4 - Boys of Summer:  Curiosity... (It is a Silver Anthology.) and is due by May 12.

I think that I write better when I work on just one story so I am gonna try that for the next month - so any ideas on what I should concentrate on feel free to throw your two cents worth in... or if there is one on the blog you think hey hurry the hell up and write that let me know.

On another note I am Participating n the Easter Blog Hop so I will post WW # 14 tomorrow seeing as I won't be really posting during the HOP...

Taking over Em's Turn - Just because I can

This is just such a beautiful song - that I just had to share it with you all. I love this movie enough to have bought the soundtrack - Shane Mack's voice is just so freaking amazing.

This is just awesome... Love this band. This band was out when Emily was just a youngen I think it hit #1 in 1997 - though he looked way sexier after he got his hair cut off.

This is just another beautiful song - sadly he ended his life before he made his mark on the world. I think he has one of the most beautiful voices - I read somewhere it was due to him having no testicles - now I can't tell you whether that is true or not - but I still love his voice. (oops my mistake turns out he is alive and well - man, for years I believed he had died I am so happy to find out I was wrong.)

No matter what anyone says this man is sexy as hell (except as 'It' where he just scared the crap out of me) I love the guttural sound of his voice
