You Know You Have Too Many Books When...

You know you have an addiction to, and own, too many books when...

1- You clean out the book case and find more than one of the same book.

2- You give away 155 of said books and it doesn't even look like any are missing.

3- You look at a book cover and say, "When the hell did I buy this?"

4- You look up a book and ask yourself, "Why the hell did I buy this?"

5- You look at a book and smile knowing you only bought it cor the cover.

6- You think you have finished cleaning and your daughter says, "Mum, just found another stack of books."

Today I have done this over and over I swear the damn things multiply at night all by themselves. "Hi, my name is NJ, and I am addicted to books - it has been sixteen hours since I read my last book."

What's Happening?

Today I thought I would give you a heads up on what is happening: By December 1st - I need to have written 585,000 words to get all 14 Wips completed. I have actually written 182,356 of those words leaving 402,644 to still be written. 50K of those words can't be started until November as it is my NaNoWriMo project (Watson Falls: Walking On A Fine Line.) after doing my sums I have to write at least 2,400 - 2,615 words per day to complete it.

So I have decided that each day I will choose a different book and write my quota for each day - if I write more than sweet I am ahead... Feel free to keep me on track... I didn't include my blog stories because  I will do those regardless...

Yes I will be a busy bee for the next few months and I have to get ahead on some of it so I don't fall behind when I am at GRL in October. Now we just see how fast I can actually write. WISH ME LUCK!

Just A Thought

Recently I came across an this blog and had to share:

I thought it had some of the coolest pictures that I have ever seen; There are two pictures of a person in black playing a violin one from the front and one from the back. I know it is a woman, but I have decided to use these images for a man. A very talented man who is also very shy. By dressing as a woman he is able to play to the huge audiences who come to watch him.

I have to admit this is only an Idea at his stage and I haven't worked out any of the details to the storyline. It was just something that jumped out at me when I first laid eyes on these pictures. I just need a title and MC names.

I am sure you will all agree that the pictures alone are just worth the look see. They rest of the pictures there just blew me away - if you like Gothic then take a wander over there and check them out.

Anyway I was figuring that maybe someone in the audience who attends a few shows (okay a lot of shows) realises that the beautiful woman is a man. they could help him to come out so to speak.

They could also help our very shy MC break out of the box he has hidden himself away in for so many years... Well that is my thought pattern so far.

If I think of anything more I will be sure to let you all know... maybe if I remember - I seem to have a brain like a fricken sieve lately.

I just thought I would pass this on so you could all check it out for yourselves and get those thinking caps on.

Bloody Hell & Then Some!!!

Okay, so yesterday I had this bright idea that I would get the whole family out for a day in the yard... two minutes in Nan declares she is too old and can't do any more... so she sits on a chair like queen muck the foreman telling us all how to fix the garden properly. Then Emily had an allergic reaction took a Phernergan (anti-histamine) and fell asleep, which left only the two of us working.

That was okay and then I may have badgered the hubs into cleaning up some of his junk (I swear to god some days my yard looks like a demolition yard). Luckily we have a tractor, yes this is the same tractor I complained about when my hubs bought it. Not that I will ever admit the tractor is worth it. For those of you who have ever seen my yard - The Hubs great big ugly yellow box is GONE! only taken me 7 years to get rid of it. It is not an eyesore when you drive down to the house. Man we had a good bonfire happening yesterday - next weekend we are tackling his crap in front of the big shed - one of these days I will have a yard that actually looks like a yard.

Em's Turn

Better Man: all different with the same title. How the words they sing make us thing differently.
