Playing Catch-Up & A Kris Jacen Challenge.
I was going through and tidying up my computer files, and came across this picture this is a closer up picture of Doyle Kerwin from The Lines of Marsden. I also purchased this one from the fabulous DW Skinner.
Someone once told me I didn't pick really sexy guys as my inspiration. I was like Hello!!! Not everyone has the same idea of what beautiful is. Weirdly, I really like this guy, and he suits my image of Doyle (messy hair and all).
I am in negotiations with the awesome Lex Valentine to make me some trading cards images... I can then have made up into sets of each line of Marsden - I am concentrating on the first line though & am still looking for my ever elusive Gypsy - I should just take a picture of Emily and use her as she is my Gypsy. Mind you she may kill me for doing it which wouldn't be good at all.
I have been so busy of late in my real life that my writing life has been relegated to the back burner for the moment. I need to get back into the swing of things. What better way then to try my hand at one of Kris Jacen's challenges. (See below for details).
BUNNY:
So here are the boys…they’re both coming to me
every time I hear three different country music songs. It’s definitely the tone
of the second two songs but there’s the vibe of the first.
Feel Like a Rockstar (Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw)
Time is Love (Josh Turner)
Shinin’ on Me (Jerrod Niemann)
Neither of them are giving me names…One of them is
definitely a country music star, can see him moving on stage while singing. The
other I believe is a paparazzi (or a reporter) that’s following him (not
stalking) because he believes he’s “family. Doesn’t want to out him but wants
him for his own.
CHALLENGE:
See if you can write me a scene with MC1 performing
and coming off stage and dragging MC2 off to burn off MC1’s performing high.
PS: I will post my part of the challenge tomorrow.

R U OK? Day.
Today is R U Ok? Day That means today is the day you need to ask family, friends and strangers alike: "Are you okay?" So if nothing else today just reach out and ask those words. A smile and a hug can go a long way in making people feel better if they are having a down day - even just listening can be a great help.

The Week That Was FUBAR!!!
I can't believe the week I have had - seriously I was ready to tear my hair out of my head in frustration and anger. let me give you a little warning and some advice - YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS ARE NOT SAFE... I have been having a problem with scammers who ring up pretending to be from Microsoft and wanting access to my computer - or the ones who say they need to give me a refund for something I know damn well I have never purchased and wanting my credit card details so they can refund me.
It got so bad I was getting phone calls every 30 minutes on the dot. I was dreading the phone ringing and having to answer it - I changed my phone number which I have told you all before and put my number to silent and on the DO NOT CALL register. At least now I am not getting the harassing calls. (It takes approximately a week for the phone number to swap over) and in the week I made my husband answer the damn phone as much as possible.
The worst part was in that final week one of the scammers which I actually answered rattled off not only my credit card number but the security code on the back. How they got this I do not know, but it scared the fricken bejesus out of me. I immediately cancelled said credit card and thanks to my bank they told me no money had been taken from my account which I am very thankful for. They claimed to have gotten the card numbers from my bank and my government which is a crock of shit if you ask me.
So my advice is - Please be very careful with how you use your card and, who you give your numbers to. May none of you have to experience the week I have had to just live through.

On Writing ~ Inspiration.
Today I am working on Taking Chances: Lie to Me. I have not done much on it today but I have managed to pass the 27K mark which I am totally happy for. Though once I pass the 30K mark I will start to think about winding it down. I am still not sure where it is headed. After going through all my earlier notes and fixing the head hopping and such I took the last 5K and set it aside to use as part of one of the other story lines in future books.
Lie to Me revolves a Alec Callahan & Thaniel Ward. Future books will revolve around Thaniel's cousins. I have written the titles and main characters first names, but I have no clue which order I will eventually write them in.
Pick Me Up & Dust Me Off :- Rhys & Isaac
You're Barely Sleeping:- Dillon & Taylor
Just To See You Smile:- Gabriel & Ben's
Harder To Breathe:- Jess & Sean
Princess Hard-Core:- Luc & Conner
In case you are wondering where I got the title for book one from - I will tell you. Actually I will add the video so you can see. I only took the title from here and not anything else to do with the book. I just really like this song.
I would also like to add that my book Lie to me in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM resembles any part of the movie Shelter - which is where I first heard this song. I will acknowledge that Shelter is a fricken awesome movie which needs to be watched by everyone.

Lex Valentine.
Just wanting to show off two new releases for my friend Lex Valentine (well Scrambling isn't released until September 18th). FEAR NOT: I will update the link for Scrambling when it becomes available.
Blurb for Colin Cuffed in Beyond Bounds:
Colin Granville had a bad day and was looked forward to a quiet evening
with his mate. But Eden has other plans for him that don’t include “quiet.” Her
cousin Emily is away on vacation and Eden has the key to her house. She takes
Colin there and introduces him to Emily and Vahid’s private dungeon. Reluctant
to play at first, Colin gives in to Eden and is instantly cuffed to the bed.
What follows is a night of sensory deprivation and fun with a violet wand,
proving that even married couples can be pretty kinky.
Available in.
Blurb for Scrambling:
Evan
McAdam has two constants in his life—football and his friendship with Reed
Matthews. From the age of six, Evan’s played football alongside Reed. In his
teens, he realized he was gay and loved Reed, but fear kept him from confiding
his deepest emotions to his best friend. When he and Reed are drafted to the
L.A. Stars, Evan decides to come out. His decision impacts Reed who’s been in
the closet too. The two men struggle with secrets of unrequited love while
facing the world as the first two openly gay NFL players. When injury forces
Evan to retire, the love he bears Reed can no longer be hidden. But will Reed
be able to reciprocate? Or will Evan lose both football and the man he’s always
loved?
