It's All About Me

I'm not dieting per-se, I've more just changed my eating habits... trying to eat a little healthier... You see I have a thyroid problem, which I must admit I think okay so I'm fat... nothing I can do about that━hello TP (thyroid problem). But no longer. I may have trouble losing weight because I have said TP, but I can always control what goes in my mouth.

The hardest part is I gave up Coke Zero in this past week, and have the headaches to prove it, but that could be more because I always get migraines. I just found it was starting to taste funny, so that's a sign that it needs to go for a while.

Anyway about a week ago I started eating healthier ... I started at 106.1 KG (233.91 Lb) and in a week I dropped to 104.2 KG (229.72 Lb) I'll keep you updated periodically. My brother says he's going to keep me on track... meaning he'll make sure I don't start drinking CZ again and asking if I did my exercises (Which I can't do until he puts my TV up on the wall in my bedroom for me)... I suppose is a good idea as it makes me more determined to prove him wrong. Not that I'm saying he'll think I'll fail...LOL... but he's family and they are allowed to take the piss out of me.

So I'm now asking you all to help keep me on track as well. I turn 48 on 2 February. So I'm trying to get healthier before I turn 50. I think two years is a great goal time frame... Feel free to join in this health kick with me... leave me a message or PM me on Facebook and I'll help keep track on you as well. we can have weekly catch-ups. We can share tips & recipes... We can also bitch about what we find difficult and it will just be between us.

I'm So Pissed Off

Okay so this is how my Saturday night went: Well I'd started at 12:30 watching the BBL6 Women's final (Sydney Sixers won)... then I was switching between the BBL6 Men's final (Perth Scorchers won) & the Williams sisters tennis grand final (Serena won).... anyway, that's not what pissed me off.

My cats Willow (top) & Droogie (below) are basically indoor cats. they spend all day inside from 5am to about 7pm at night (14 hours) and then for the night they are outside in a fully enclosed cat cage probably 20 metres by 10 metres so they have plenty of room to run around and get their stalk on.

Well last night a cat from up the street came down and Droogie defended his territory the only way he could─by yowling really loudly, which he did twice. I went straight outside to make sure all was well, and my neighbour (Who has a tendency to play music really loudly all day long until you are nearly insane (but if I'm being honest, he has kept it down for the last month). Anyway this delightful person came out into his yard at the same time and told me if my cats ever went into his yard he was going to kill them...

I was like WTF!!! I calmly told him─Okay the f-word might have been in there─that my cats have never been his yard because A) they are fifteen and lazy, & B) they are fully enclosed in and can't get out of my yard... he kept telling me it's the law that they need to be locked up... I may or may not have told him before he quotes the law he should look it up... I went to the council and they said cats only have to be locked up during the night which mine are.

I paid a fortune for my cat enclosure my brother and I worked for weeks building it (colour-bond fence on two sides and special cat mesh on the rest. There is also waterproof shade cloth on the roof, because eventually I will add plants so it's part green house. But that has to wait until my separation is complete and I get my money back. Here are some pics of my very bare cat enclosure... Not sure if you can see the special cat wire, but trust me it's there. This also shows the roof partially built. You just have to imagine it with the waterproof shade cloth and over the steps end there is colour-bond roofing.

RJ Scott ~Montana

I'm reading this series at the moment and loving it... I have read the first three books quite a few times and now started from book again. I can't wait until I get to book four. If you are looking for some bloody good stories to read, then in my humble opinion this is the series for you. I love how the inter connect but are each their own story. I honestly hope many more books are written in this series.

BLURBS:

Crooked Tree Ranch
When a cowboy, meets the guy from the city, he can't know how much things will change.

On the spur of the moment, with his life collapsing around him, Jay Sullivan answers an ad for a business manager with an expertise in marketing, on a dude ranch in Montana.

With his sister, Ashley, niece, Kirsten and nephew, Josh, in tow, he moves lock stock and barrel from New York to Montana to start a new life on Crooked Tree Ranch.

Foreman and part owner of the ranch, ex rodeo star Nathaniel 'Nate' Todd has been running the dude ranch, for five years ever since his mentor Marcus Allen became ill.

His brothers convince him that he needs to get an expert in to help the business grow. He knows things have to change and but when the new guy turns up, with a troubled family in tow - he just isn't prepared for how much.
NB: This is a previously released title. It includes a new chapter and is re-edited with new cover art.

The Rancher's Son
A man without memories, and the cop who never gave up hope.

When he wakes up in the hospital, the victim of a brutal beating, John Doe has no memories of who he is or who hurt him. The cops can find nothing to identify him and he can't remember anything to help... except the name Ethan and one recurring place from his dreams. Two words, and they're not much, but it's a start: Crooked Tree.

Detective Ethan Allens has never stopped searching for the two boys who vanished. When a report lands on Ethan's desk that may give new leads, he jumps at the chance to follow them up. The man he finds isn't his brother, but it's someone who could maybe help him discover what happened twelve years ago.

What neither man can know is that facing the very real demons of the past could destroy any kind of future they may have together.

A Cowboy's Home
One burned and broken man finds his way home. Can he find peace in the arms of a man easy to love?

Justin made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, battling domestic terrorism, never the man he really was, using hate to avenge the death of his best friend. The friend he'd killed.

What he doesn’t count on is getting shot, and if he's going to die he wants it to be on Crooked Tree soil. Home.

Sam is as much a part of Crooked Tree as any of the families, and the offer to buy into the ranch is a dream come true. But falling for a hidden, secretive, injured man isn’t the way to keep his head in the game.

Snow In Montana
An actor in the closet, a sheriff in love, and memories that won’t stay hidden.

Jordan Darby is known as the King of Christmas. The star of eight made-for-TV Christmas movies, the leading man who always gets his girl. Filming at Crooked Tree Ranch in Montana, in the ice and snow, Jordan is fighting to make a go of his new company and dealing with fears of exposure over one huge secret. After all, who the hell would buy into him being a romantic straight lead if rumors about him being gay were proven to be true?

Sheriff Ryan Carter is advising on the new movie being made at Crooked Tree. He hoped this would be one day of work and nothing more. Until, that is, he meets the hero. But while Jordan is sexy, he’s also very much stuck in the closet—everything that Ryan doesn’t need in his life. And then lust becomes part of the equation, and Ryan’s quiet life is thrown into turmoil.

Their story unfolds against the chaos that overtakes the ranch, with Adam regaining memories that terrify him and make him look at Justin differently, and Justin leaving the ranch to make things right. Only through trusting in love and friendship can Justin and Adam learn to look to the future instead of letting the past destroy everything. But will they ever see clearly enough to do that?

Getting My Shit Together #3

This is some of my mum's chicken collection... when I show more photo's you'll probably be able to see more of them. As much as I bitch about them (because I gave up my dragon collection for her chickens when we moved house) they actually look pretty good littered throughout the house. And if the truth be told─I think I bought her most of the ornaments.

This is  my kitchen. don't mind the dishes in the draining rack. I swear they're clean. I just didn't feel like wiping them up and putting them away after lunch. The watermelon is not mine as I don't eat them. It belongs to my mum and my brother they can figure out who gets how much. We'll split it after Ted finishes work and he will take his home. What they don't eat will be fed to the chickens... real ones... Ted and Delmae have pet chickens at their house.

This is Mum's bedroom (she's just about to turn 85)─this room is still a work in progress, so I'll update this picture at some stage for you all to see. I'll show my bedroom off more fully after I get rid of the crap on my bedside table─stuff to go to the op-shop and some to go into the spare room storage when I buy it (mainly excess office supplies).

Getting My Shit Together #2

My Sister in-law, Delmae gave me this awesome hanger rack. I think it's meant to be for coats, but for me it holds my hats. I have a collection of hats so I'll just swap them out every now and again and have different ones on display. these are the two I wear the most.

This is my office area, and sits on the opposite side of the room from the wall of artwork I showed you all yesterday. Mainly Emily uses this one when she comes up and needs to do assignments for uni. in the bookcase closest is my mums books that she likes to read... and her CD's.

Getting My Shit Together #1

Got some of my artwork back up on the walls... some hasn't seen the light of day in over ten years... seven are my own drawings.... one is my brothers drawing... three is art work of the kids... and the rest are family pictures and bought pictures... and yes, seven of them are of David Bowie... the best part is I have room for more artwork. I think it's time to pull out the sketchbook and pencils again.

And my other important part is the library... This is an updated version, seeing as I finally finished unpacking and sorting through the books I'm keeping. The hardest part is blending mine and my mum's styles and making them look good. I will post some more pictures each day this week so you can see how much I've been doing since moving in a month ago─I still have the spare room to go and I have a month to get it done in because we'll be having interstate visitors.
