Talking GRL...

The days are rapidly approaching when Em & I head off to GRL - 75 days until we catch a plane and head to Albuquerque, New Mexico. And where I will finally get to meet some of my own personal favourite authors. (yes even I have my fan girl moments).

Emily is so excited because she is having lunch with Carol Lynne - who is her all time favourite author (can you believe my child picks Carol over me) LOL. And yes, when I say she is Gypsy Marsden I really mean it.

There are so many people I just want to say hello to and see what they really look like. and there are some people I need to get them to sign my books (I mean my copies of their books) so look out Carol Lynne, ZA Maxfield, Andrew Grey, Stormy Glenn, Ethan Day, Lynn Lorenz, and a few more. I have to buy Z Allora's boys to get hers... Am I excited you bet your sweet bibby I am. (Gees I hope they are all going.)

At least this time I will have company on that long arse flight there and back. Em asked me this morning is it too early to start packing. Yeah baby, it is. though mind you she has so many clothes she could probably pack and still have a ton of clothes left over - me not so much.

I live in Jeans and ankle length skirts... I am not sure what I should even pack to wear - How dressy do I need to be? would it be okay to rock up in my jeans and a David Bowie t-shirt? Would my Tattoos need to be covered or can they be on display? (I have been asked to cover the tats before). and then I think Fuck it I will just be me and people can like me or not - I can't change who I am as I have no filter and the real me just spills out of my mouth anyway.

I will probably ramble on more about this the closer it gets to leaving Australia I won't be able to help myself. So you will all have to read it or skip it I am just giving you fair warning.

My Day Today...

Today for me is family day... well kind of - Em is watching Top 1000 Gold Medal Classics and I can tell you there has been some songs I haven't heard in years. Like Eminem: Lose Yourself - makes me want to go and pull out the 8 Mile DVD and watch it... The eighties definitely had the best dancing music though some of the video clips made me realise not everyone should dance, though I have had a good laugh at them. Emily looks at them and asks is this where I got my idea for crazy dancing for Christian and Doyle. All I can say is write what you know (I was a teen in the eighties so this is what I knew).

Em has agreed that not all of my music now sucks as much as she thought it did. She has taken quite an interest in Bon Jovi, Guns & Roses and Bruce Springsteen - now if I can just convince her George Michael really is the lead singer of Wham (she just doesn't want to admit it - LOL).

NEWSFLASH: Okay so this might only be exciting for me, but Em and I just bought tickets to go and see Nickelback in concert in November. I can't believe that it has been three years since I last saw them in concert. I so cannot wait - I still couldn't convince the hubs to come with us - his loss.

ON WRITING: Well I am kinda at a standstill with my writing I have the overwhelming urge to change the title of my Christmas story I am writing for MLR Hidden Gifts seems so out of place as the story has changed totally from where I thought it was heading but what else is knew with me. And I am one of those writers who needs a title before I can write the damn story so this is killing me. So I have been thinking every day for new titles. here are the ones in the running:

Dark Days Of Christmas
Do You See What I See
My Gift To You
My Christmas Wish For You
The Greatest Gift Of All

All I can really tell you at this time is that one of the main characters is Casey: a twenty year old Goth, the other is Marty: a twenty nine year old slightly pudgy guy who works in his family Cafe called Papa Lee's.

I can also tell you there is a vindictive ex and all the rouble he causes and Casey isn't welcome at his own home because of his step-mother. I'm not sure what is happening there yet - told you as soon as I find the new title I will start writing again.

Okay I am out here for today... I should try and get some writing done on something else.

Too Many Horror Stories.

Today I read yet another horror story of someone getting sued for using pictures not their own on their blogs I have spent a better part of my day going through my blog and removing any and all pictures. The only ones remaining are book covers (where I have permission from the author to use them), My own covers, record/CD covers. It is better to be safe than sorry...

On other news my beta reader loves  A Moon-Runner Christmas so that is a good thing I suppose.

Tomorrow I think I will be able to get back to work without having to worry about whether or not I am breaking the law (I probably am as I still have you tube videos on my blog).

On that note I will away as I have to take the pictures off my Kate blog - Oh what fun - NOT!!!

Bloody Hell & Then Some...

Well here is an update on what is happening in my life... You will be all happy to know that the flu is all cleared up and I am feeling a hell of a lot better...

I have 3K to write on On the 12th Day - which I have decided to rename I am just not sure what I will call it yet... Any Suggestions? It is a paranormal Xmas he is a on the spot blurb:

The Moon-runner pack is hosting this years Mating Contract Ritual (big party where numerous pack come and vie for a mate - very rare do you ever find you heart-mate).

Liam Kantry wants to be with the man he has loved nearly his whole entire life - yet rumours and innuendos have left Liam named as the pack slut - not something Liam has ever disputed - so what if it wasn't true.

Carlos Bruenelli is waiting for his heart-mate; he is one of those who believe they really do exist the alpha-mate is proof of this. In his heart he wants it to be his best friend even if he is the town slut.

As Christmas draws near they have to work their way through not only their own but the whole packs ideas on what a heart-mate should be.

As you can tell the blurb still needs some work done to it.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes.

As you can see I have changed my blog yet again all the pictures on my wall that are not my cover or promoting someone or something else are pictures I have bought from the wonderful Dan Skinner and they are all Characters out of The Lines of Marsden. I just want you all to know I own the pictures I use though the ones I place in my posts I borrow from elsewhere and from now on I will try and let you know exactly where I borrow them from or who they are at least. I can't promise I will always have the answer for you.

Why the picture's of The Lines of Marsden character's you may ask. Well the answer is simple: The Lines of Marsden is my baby, this is the story that got me through some of the toughest times in my life. Some of the character pictures are of future characters you are yet to meet and fall in love with.

On that note I will away as I have way too much writing to catch up on. Talk to you all soon to fill you in on what's happening or to post a new blog story episode.
