Update Time...

Okay, so a lot has happened since last time I was on here. I finally got my rights back from Fireborn for Moon Runners series, but not just Moon Runners, I got them back for all the books I had with Fireborn Publishing. so now I have been getting them ready to try and rehouse them.

Mainly writing up a synopsis for each story to send in so Publishers have a gist of what they're about. I hate writing Synopsis. I never had to do them at Fireborn, but lesson learned now I'll just do them for all books for just in case scenarios.

My rehousing list is as follows:

  • Admetus Gaea 1: The Gaean Prophecy
  • Hidden Hearts 1: Harder & Harder to Breathe
  • Hidden Hearts 2: One Last Kiss Goodbye
  • Moon Runners 1: Heart-mate, Mine!
  • Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go
  • The Diamond Rose 1: Gateway to Kalethia
  • The Freedomers 1: Zephania's Chance

I'm still working on The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses, but have to do a bit of a back read as I have mixed up a couple of my chapters and need to figure out my storyline again to finish. To get done by the end of the month I have to write 4,400 words per day... Wish me luck.

Back at the Type Writer...

Or━computer, as the case may be...

For the last few months, I've had bronchitis that has kicked off my asthma, which I must admit I haven't suffered from since my early twenties. Apparently, my doctor was worried I was going to develop pneumonia. thankfully I never, and I'm well and truly on the mend. Though, some nights I still have trouble breathing... but that's okay, because I know I'm getting better every day.

The sad thing is, that after coming back online after so long I realised I missed the passing of a very dear person, who is going to be missed by so many people. He was one of the reasons I actually submitted in the first place.

On a writing note seeing as Moon Runner's 2: I Won't Let You Go wasn't released by January 1st of this year I'm now in the process of getting my rights back from Fireborn Publishing so that I can try and house them elsewhere. It sucks big time, but what else can I do.

I've also been in contact with Laura B at MLRPress and let her know what all I have been working on all the synopsis I have long-handed up and have to complete the writing part as most have at least some wordage in them. Plus I want to have The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses submitted by February 7th.

Plus I have been finishing up some in-depth synopsis for the following titles so that when the time comes up for writing them I know exactly where each chapter needs to be at. The wordage count is the minimum needed for each book.

The Lines of Marsden 5: On the 12th Day (50K) Christmas Novella.

Grandma Duty... & Other Stuff

Yesterday, I was on Grandma duty. I'm not saying that Oliver and Robson were Jealous of having to share me with Grace... but they stuck glued to us all day. Mind you, I think Oliver believes Grace is one of his kittens (like he thinks Robson is). Thank God she's not allergic like her mum.

I didn't get any writing done yesterday, but I am still working on The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses. All I'll say is that I hope I can get it back to where it needs to be by the end of the damns tory for the next book to start.

Though Grace and I did watch the last season of Haven... I'd forgotten some of what had happened. I love that show... Duke Crocker is still my favourite character... followed closely by Dwight Hendrickson. Though after reading Stephen King's: The Colorado Kid... I never worked out how they based the show off that book except for the murder of James Cogan... because the rest of the TV series was so different...

Other than that all is well in my world... a few headaches here and there, more so when I forget to take my medication. I have a ripsnorter of one today.

Still waiting to hear about a publication date and cover on Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go.

I've also been working on retweaking TASH into a series of 6 books instead of 1... now I just have to come up with a series title... and find the time to write it.

What's The Hap?

I had to spend the morning in the garden again because the cats knocked down all of my mother-in-law's tongues (snake plants), so I had to transplant them to a safer area of the garden. Hopefully, this time they'll stay safe. I still have a little bit of rearranging to do down there but I'll get it all done eventually. I also have to mow at some stage today.

I spent yesterday writing out plot notes on a new story idea... but then thought I might intermingle it with what I already have for THE HUNTED... to see if I can get that story out of my back burner pile.

I'm still waiting to hear back about cover art on MOON RUNNERS 2: I Won't Let You Go. I have sent an email asking for an update on the cover and a release date. I will let you all know as soon as I hear something.

Also working on THE LINES OF MARSDEN 4: The Trail of Red Roses I'm trying to get a bit more done. I don't want to start slacking off now.

Mother's Day has come and gone and I got a beautiful collage of pictures of my granddaughter, Grace... I just have to find a spot to hang it up in the house. She is such a little cutie.

Just Me & Updates.

I have a really bad headache today. nothing I can do has helped. I can't even concentrate enough to get past 2K in my wordage on The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses... I can tell you the story has gone AWOL from my plot outline there is no hope of recovery.

Though on other news I had to redo the cover art sheet for Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go and send it back in. So hopefully I'll have something to show you all soon.

Updates

I have been working on the EIC edits for Fireborn Publishing on Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... I have to do the final read through today before I can send it back to Kathy K.

MY BOOKS: I've also still been writing up notes on all the plots for all the stories that I have to write this year. Some are coming to me easy. Others not so much as I can't remember all the character names which means I have a lot of rereading, and sometimes I really don't like rereading my own workbecause I always seem to pick up places where I could have made it better, but I never want to be one of those authors that redo their own work and then put it back out for sale. I only plan on doing that for one book and I'm not even sure if  I will for sale it or put it out for free again... but that story is for a later date (Masters of Time 1: Shadows on the Heart).

I'm about to be a grandma soon, & once bub comes along I'll finally be able to settle back into writing again. right now we are all just waiting for Emily to pop her out (so to speak). Luckily she has had a pretty good pregnancy. I mean she might not think so but compared to some people she can't really complain. She's due at the end of the month.

Running on lack of sleep at the moment as we have roadworks happening near my place. they are upgrading a road that didn't even need doing as far as I can tell. The thing is now the Commonwealth Games Baton is due to be coming through our city in 11 days and now they are scrambling to finish a job that should never have been started. So most night we have noise & flashing lights from 4pm to 5am... who needs sleep these days?

1st Edits Done...

I just sent back the 1st edits for Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... I hate to say it but I still suck at writing blurbs. I'm just hoping that me and Jamie DR are able to get them to make sense.

Until I get them back I'll go back to working on The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses

That's in between family commitments... I actually enjoyed getting back into the whole writing schedule again. I've missed it. The problem is when I reread what I wrote in the two years I was absent not a whole lot of it makes sense, so most of it has to be rewritten.

Saying Goodbye To Another Year

Another year has come and gone... and as much as I loathe to say it I got fuck all done in my writing life. I can tell you that I sent one last email to Fireborn Publishing about Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... I'm still not sure what's going on there. I know Brenna L has been ill... But I assume someone else would have let me know something by now.  Though, tomorrow is the first step in the rest f my life and when I get my writing life back on track... I got most of my plots worked out━well, kind of.

I'm not shy about telling the world that this year I'm so fricken tired. I feel like I haven't slept a full week for the whole year. Hopefully, next year will be better. Willow is getting worse in keeping me awake. sadly, I'm not a person who can sleep during the day as I always wake up worse than when I went to sleep. Poor Willow has not been coping too well with the heat.

I wasn't one of the people brave enough to go out and get a bargain at the Boxing Day Sales on the 26th... Emily & Elliot tell me it was crazily packed with people in Toowoomba. I did the sane thing and sat at home and watched the cricket 4th Test Match between England & Australia... even though we've already won the Ashes it's still good to watch... and that night we had Big Bash which is 20/20 cricket.

We have been having some wickedly hot days this summer. Thank God for Aircon. Without it, Mum & I would have melted. It got up to 39⁰ C one day, (I think that's about 102.2⁰ F) Let's hoping it starts to cool down soon.

Emily is getting bigger with every day that passes and she can't wait for March to roll around so that little Grace (unless the name changes) is born. If it doesn't cool down then at least let it rain so it feels cooler... the only problem then is I'd have to mow more often... LOL... it's a lose-lose situation.

What's The Hap?

This week I'm trying to get all my stories set for MLRPress. I want to at least have a gist of where I'm going with each of the 9 stories for their label that I have on my 2018 schedule

I must admit some stories I can recall as if I wrote them yesterday, and others I have no clue what the storyline is about. I guess I'll have to do some re-reading before I write the next in each series. The best part is I get to fall in love with my favourite characters all over again.

I still haven't heard back from Fireborn Publishing about Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go. To be honest I'm not sure what's going on... I've heard the head lady is currently having computer issues and playing catch up with everything. I might have to send out another email to see what's happening. Hopefully, she's okay as she was also recently ill as well.... and I know how that feels as my ears still aren't back to normal.

I've also gotten all manuscripts set in place for Fireborn for 2018 as well.

I'm also getting all my Pride Publishing stuff organised so that 2018 can run smoothly for me writing wise. I just want to get the job done next year seeing as I failed so miserably this year.

I've worked out I only have to write 2,521 words per day... only more if I miss a day here and there... that's doable, right?

Friday 17 November 2017

Hard to believe that 2017 is nearly over and done withonly 44 days until the New Year is here. Honestly, I personally can't wait. I am so over this year and the two which preceded this one. 2018 has got to be better for me at least. I won't say it will be great for everyone because let's face it, that's a huge task to ask. I've had three crap years in a rowI think I'm due to have a good one now. I really need to get back into my writing. I hate not being able to write.

I'm still all tensed up, so I think that I may have pulled a muscle in my thigh when I fell in the garden yesterday. And because I use my legs so much throughout the day it hurts like a bitch. I hope it all clears up soon.

Not sure if I remembered to tell you I had to resend in Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go because it went missing somehow... shit happens and I understand that. I'm now a week into waiting for the second time. I hope I don't have to wait for another three months. I'll let you know more when I do.

I Have A Headache...

I just can't seem to kick this bitch of a headache. the more I try the harder she digs in and holds on. On a good note, my ears aren't as bad as the Dr's first thought. They're more filled with a bad case of dermatitis, which isn't helping matters. the specialist used this little vacuum that felt like he was trying to suck my eyeball out through my ear. I have to go back and see Dr Bond on the 21st━I'm so not looking forward to that. Though, I go to my regular Dr on the 13th for a check-up.

I did just sign up for some MASSIVE WINTER GIVEAWAY... Is it bad if I say I have no clue what it's for? But as soon as I find out I'll let you all know. I'm sure Dawn White will be filling me in soon on what's happening. I do know that I'm not the only author and that not all the authors are MM. I think they cross all genres. I'm sure whatever it is━it should be interesting as hell. I'll just have to promote my old stuff seeing as I haven't actually got any new stuff.

I've once again gotten in contact with FIREBORN PUBLISHING again to see what's happening with Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... seeing as it's been 4 months and I still haven't heard from them. I figure it's either gotten misplaced or deleted or something. Hopefully next time I'll have something to tell you. I've had manuscripts disappear on me before (not with Fireborn)... but it has been known to happen, so I can't hold it against them if it has happened this time. But enquiring minds want to know what the hell happened to it... Okay. Truthfully maybe I just remembered about it and figured I better ask when I realised how long it's actually been.

Where The Hell...

Okay... I have searched my Dropbox, every memory stick, and even my external hard drive... and I seem to have lost the first 10K of Experimentals 3:Messages From The Dead. that I wrote for NaNoWriMo back in 2015... so when I start NaNoWriMo this year I'll have to start from the beginning... On a good note, I did find in my cleaning up, my hand written synopsis for Messages From The Dead... I just don't know how someone who is as anal retentive as I am about keeping track of shit could lose a story.

Last night I did take the time to take a couple of hours to skim through both #1: Blessed With A Curse, & #2: Running Into Zero Tolerance, and wrote down all the character names getting ready for the big write in November... when I'll be writing 3 & 4: Movements In The Dark back to back. To get both done, I need to write 2,667 words per day for November.

As you can see, I've made it to 5K in The Diamond Rose 2: So Pretty On The Outside... I won't be writing today as I have a family BBQ to attend today... it's going to be fun. The story so far is heading where I thought it might. Though, it's not exactly about who I thought it would be the main characters. At first, I thought it wold be about Tori & Darkan/Goliath... turns out I was wrong. It's two years later, and it's now about Wynn & Teagan... But I'm still hoping you will enjoy the read.

I'm at a standstill on The Lines Of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses... but only until my glasses come back. Because, I know once I start back on it, I won't want to stop, and I can't do that with fuzzy lenses.

I'll also be starting soon on Wardens Of The Guild 3: Heart Strings... but again I'm just waiting on the glasses. I'll have to go and do the whole write down all the character names for this one too. I'm really bad at forgetting names.

Still no news on Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... but hopefully I will hear from Fireborn Publishing soon.

Figuring Shit Out...

I'm still figuring out how all the new crap on the computer works.... Techno savvy I am not...

And then, every time I smile and say, "I've got this." the damn thing updates, and I don't got this no more. Why the hell does a new computer need so many updates? Anyway, no use complaining as no one has time to listen.

Recently I wrote down the name of every book, series, back burner book in my to be written pile and sent it to my beta reader so that James A can help me keep track. I need to get back into the swing of writing. and he will keep me on track with which books/series need to be done. Speaking of stories. I still haven't heard anything back from Fireborn Publishing about Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... so still keep your crossables crossed for me.

We will be starting the next stage of renovations on the house this weekend so I'm hoping it won't take forever. This picture is of my music set up area. It used to be Emily's office, but seeing as she has her own place I now have all my CD's & Records in there so I can listen to them when I want. I bought the kitchen hutch and it fit in perfectly. The books are my my David Bowie collection on the bottom and a few other artists on the shelf above. The Jon Bon Jovi Picture is Emily's... but it fit in so there it sits. It goes well with my other wall that faces the kitchen hutch.

Randomness...

I didn't realise how hard it was going to be to go back through a book and add people's points of view... but it truly is... So the first six chapters of The Lines of Marsden 4: The Trail of Red Roses is very busy, but after that it will slow down and be more of the real main characters... if that makes sense.

I have been busy around the house and I finally feel like I have everything under control. I paid off the last of my debts last week (credit card)... so that is a huge relief off of my shoulders. I still have a little bit to do around the house, but now I'm not worried that I'm going to get into trouble because I can't pay for things... I love being debt free because now I can actually start saving money for a rainy day (or the next time the cats need to go to the vet).

Speaking of cats→ Droogie news: He is walking a lot better than he has been and now only has a slight limp. I'm still keeping an eye on him. at least his appetite has picked up again.

I'm still waiting for my beta reader to get back to me with Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... so as yet it still has't been subbed. It shouldn't be too much longer. I will keep you updated as things go along.

THE END!

THE END

Moon Runners 2
I Won't Let You Go

 Is with James A

Almost Done & Other News

1→ As of this morning I only have 3,462 words left until I reach my 40K mark on Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go... So I hope to get it finished today.

2→ Droogie's next vet appointment has been postponed from today until tomorrow as they have an emergency surgery or something to do. I don't mind. It's all drizzly here today so I don't feel like going out any way.

3→ I finally bought the shelves for my kitchen. and set them up so I could get rid of the clutter that was annoying the crap out of me. Emily has decided that she wants to buy some now and use them as her pantry as she doesn't have one in her unit.

4→ Nickelback has a new CD coming out this Friday━Feed The Machine, so I'm all kinds of excited. I know not everyone is a Nickelback fan but I am...

5→ Today I also have to fit in cleaning out the top of the pantry as it seems to be the one shelf that I just put stuff and because I can't really see what's up here I have a whole lot of crap that needs to either be rehoused or be sent to the op-shop for other people to buy and use because I'm obviously not using it.

Today I Am

Today I am being an author for Fireborn Publishing... or at least I am trying to be. I have pulled out Moon Runners 2: I Won't Let You Go, and I'm reading through the last few chapters to see where I was heading━seeing as I only have approximately only have 7,871 words to finish this off. i figured I better get it done.

I pulled apart some of the story (approximately 5k) for it to make more sense to me. I should stop doing this. I think that's what keeps delaying the finishing date. I'm really bad at this lately.

I hope to have it finished by the end of this week. I do have a couple of vet (Tuesday) & eye specialist appointments (Friday)━not for me, but for Droogie and Emily seeing as neither will be able to drive themselves...LOL... Mind you, I'm hoping to get most of it done tomorrow, which is Monday for me. I'm sure I'll let you all know how I'm going as the wee progresses. feel free to keep me on track.
